I wrote my own Alien prequel since the next one is in question. I had an idea that the Deacon found another Engineer ship, which eventually becomes the Derelict, with three Engineers in cryo-sleep, and he accidentally woke them up. One Engineer grabbed him by the neck, broke his spine with his knee, and then threw him across the room where he melted because of his acid blood and melted a hole in the floor. The same hole in the floor that Kane would be lowered into. The rest of how that ship got Alien eggs especially since David created them, and crashed on LV-426 is a long story.

You can read it. But it's not great. I'm kinda in a slump with my writing, I had to add some things I didn't wanna add like a Queen and more Aliens than I wanted, to make it longer. Also, one of my fans stopped being my fan because he didn't like my ending and I told him his suggestion for the ending made less sense. But I think I made it lead into Alien well.

Here it is. It's not my best work. See, I made my fan fiction break out in a trilogy I wrote that retconned 3 and 4 with Newt as the star that I am currently animating. First one is done and working on the second. I just wrote the prequel because I wanted to complete the prequel storyline cause it looks like it might not happen, we haven't had any new news on whether it will happen or not. And again, I really wanted to do it like a Ridley Scott Alien movie, and not a James Cameron Aliens movie, because my trilogy was inspired by Cameron's Aliens. But after my prequel came out too short, I had to add some things that I think Scott wouldn't do, like having overwhelming Aliens and a Queen. On the other hand, I think the Queen needs to be touched upon, but again, maybe I could've acknowledged how the Queen could exist after finding out David created the Aliens without actually having a Queen. But I think I had a lot of cool ideas, especially how I wrote my Engineer character, who I call Edgar, which was based on a Space Jockey character I wrote out of my trilogy because of Prometheus and Covenant.
But hell, maybe the 3rd prequel will happen, and my story won't be needed.

I suppose the poor Deacon stayed on LV-223 and starved to death. Or he sneaked onto the spaceship that David and Shaw used to leave the planet.

As the Deacon was born from an Engineer who himself was impregnated by the Trilobite which was born from a human, the creature seems to be quite unique. The adult version is surely even taller than an Engineer. It would've been interesting if in Covenant they'd also had taken a look back to what became of the Deacon. But as there's literally nothing on LV-223, he either died, or he went into hibernation (like Xenomorphs do) and is still waiting to awake again.

If they didn't want to show him in last movie (in Covenant) at this time, may be they could have given us a better hint for this history about him... at least partly. Because this history could be interesting.
