I read the tarot, and people always freak if they get the death card, and it takes forever to explain that it only means change and that they probably won't get hit by a bus after talking to me... *sigh* Personally, I have the Dragon Tarot because I'm a bit of a dragon fan. I liek the arrangement, and the warm glow of the candle.

I could never memorise all the meanings... I can't even memorise my school time-able, let alone meanings of all the tarot cards...

I really love this a lot. Great photography in this! Being a Wiccan myself, it does portray it very well. And nice comment on the death card. Most people take it very literally. :+Fav:

thats a great shot, makes me wanna get into photography again. i read your comment about the cards and how you're not sure about using them. i see it was written a while ago, have you tried them yet? (i ask out of curiosity, i dont mean to sound nosey lol) i read tarot and i've started writing an article i think you would be interested in reading. it kinda applies to any kind of reading cards; tarot, oracle, playing, etc. let me know what you think:

i havn't used those tarot cards actually - my wiccan friend scott bought them for me as a gift. i'm a little nervous about using tarot because of the negativity you can pick up off them. when i do readings i use a normal pack of cards (the original purpose of reading cards btw lol) and i get quite emotional afterwards. i guess with tarot i wouldn't be able to handle it.
i used tarot for this image because it is one of a typle thing associated with wiccans and witches. this was a project for college, and so i couldn't go way into depth as it would be too far over my lecturers' heads.
death merely means change. everyone associates with 'death', but it isn't. still, it gives a good impact. the mirror was to reflect as much light as possible as the shots were all long exposure lol

(i first saw it in your phto id thingy. i like your face on the death card a little more. not sure why o.0 which i suppose i should comment in on your DA ID. but *shrugs* lol yeah i know the death card gets a lot of people. me personally i dont use tarot, but i use brian frouds faerie oracle. (bc im a *freak* and love faeries and also bc my father would throw me out of the house if he found a tarot deck) but iloves my faerie oracle deck. *^-^* when i move out im thinking about picking up some tarot cards tho'. anyway. i dont know exactly why but i do love this picture! its absolutely gorgeous, i think its probably one of your best pictures. the compostiion and the colors are absolutely perfect! *^-^* and the mirror...nice touch!
