i really did lol, when i got them they were a little snug, but i kept them, they are so soft and comfy, such a shame they had such a weak sole

I understand that. I do have some weak soles to my slippers too but I switch out on each pair I have

seems like a common occurance. i would be tempted to fix the soles if i knew how, maybe inserted a thicker, softer soles with a rubber outer sole, but i have neither the materials or the skills sadly

I think I remember a freind of mine used like black duck tape to cover up his soles of his bear paw slippers before when he took pics of them. Not sure if it will work though

Duct tape is okay but Gorilla tape is best, it's very tough and sticky. I re-did the soles on my oldest pair of bear feet and they're still holding up fine today.

I don't think tape would be good enough to mend holes that big, especially on fabric soles (my oldest bear paws had vinyl soles). If you know someone who can sew, then it'd be better to put some patches over those holes. As for the padding inside the soles, check out this [link] for some ideas.
