Description I thought of the design right before bed and started sketchin him out the next day, changing what I thought of a bit and then began sculpting. His name is Krae, more or less a warlock (hence the hand positions).

Ok, I believe I am done with this for the most part, I might change some minor details but I think it is pretty much done. Making this was fun for the most part However, since this is my first time working with sculpture materials I did have some problems with the wings, The wire used to attach them to the body is not secure enough (just goes around shoulder/chest) and it shakes quite abit cause of how heavy they are. The wings gave me the most problems which could have been avoided fairly easily if I would have setup the skeleton correctly.

From start to 'finish' I have spent AT LEAST 24 hours working on it. Comments/Critiques appreciated!

Wow, that is a really amazing sculpture. Damn I wish I could make sculptures, since I always love the look of them >.<
You've done the anatomy on this really well, and overall it's modelled nicely. It also looks pretty big from the pictures here.
Do you plan to paint it or anything? If so, I'd really like to see when it's done.

Hey, you should give em a shot, setting em up isn't that hard... but is more expensive then just drawing I can go into detail how to start if you want. This model is actually about around a foot tall from the sitting position to top of the wings. It is definately fun and I would like to do more of em I am not sure on the coloring scheme, but I do plan to color it, dunno when I will get that done Anyways, thanks for the comment!

Thanks, I have actually added some more details to it recently so I will have to take some more pics, I mainly added some ears and spikes on his shoulders but more little details will probably be added

that is very good. great detail on the face, the horns and everything. you got the wings to stand so tall and not fall over, despite the wire problem you said, that's good. the tails great too ...

Thanks for the comment The only thing i dont like is how I seem to be drifting from more "normal" submissions...but it seems to be for the better for now.

Wow, this is great! I SO wish I could come up with something like this Though my recent sculpture does look similiar to your character. If you want, you can look at it here But anyways, great work!! How long have you been doing sculptures? I'm a beginner myself

Lol^^ I can't say I know how you feel. I'll always prefer a good ol' piece of paper and a pencil That's just my way. But you can do it!

This looks pretty good! You should try and give it some color with some paint.. that is unless this is play-doh or whatever it's called.

Yea, I think they really helped how it looks...I still would like to paint it though, wat type of paint do you use?

i use delta ceramcoat acrylics. they are cheap, come in many colors, and dry quickly. but since they are so thin, i usually have to paint a few layers of some darker colors. but ive used thicker paints that were sticky and id used so many layers from mess ups that the dried paint underneath shifted and became wrinkly. so i havent really found a good sculpey paint yet, but if i were you id start out with the thin ones. good luck.
