Okay, where do I start? I loved it. Absolutely wonderful in conveying that classic dusky feeling with the blending of the peachy smoke flowing from the city's buildings and the dark blue of the night sky. So the vision, I give four and a half stars.
Originality? Absolutely. Very, very graceful with the conveyance of the idea that the cat is an alley cat, watching his/her domain at the break of day. Every feeling is so genuine. Four stars for originality.
The technique here is beautiful. How the strictly angled rectangular buildings stretch into the sky makes this work feel very modern and promotes professionalism in every inch of color. How the outlining of the cat is in a different color than the scheme of the artwork is odd, but in an amazing way. It makes the feline (who is drawn beautifully, might I add) stand out just a LITTLE among this nighttime landscape, but not too much as to where he/she would be too different. And four and a half stars go to technique.
The impact definitely deserves acknowledgement, because of how it hits you just like the climactic moment in a beautiful movie. You want to dive into the scene and just look around at what was there. Five stars. Absolutely wonderful.
So for this work, I would say the only thing I didn't love about it IN THE LEAST was the strange coloring on the Ferris wheel. Perhaps instead of a blue, you could add a yellow color? All things aside, amazing artwork, I couldn't get enough of it, and I hope someday it wins big.
