Idk I thought the sketch was cute but I didn't knew what to do for the background & I was to lazy to do real lineart... sooo yeah this is a half sketch/drawingI like the idea, but yeah the full picture could've been better

while still on the topic of linguistics, do you read "w" as its German sound value in your head? Does the same happen with "th?"

I'm not really sure... w is more it's own thing? It's a little like the English w just stronger pronounced. "Wand, wunderbar, wichtig" & for example " while" would all be pronounced somewhat similar? Well at least the w in it... the rest really not. But Yeah??? Idk sorry ^^°

Something similar happens when I try to read German. I pronounce "ch" as a voiceless uvular fricative , even though it's pronounced at the velum.

I think most english speaking people can't pronounce ch correctly ^^° and it get's even more complicated cause sometimes it isn't really pronounces like that but more like a K
for example, no one here calls me CH-ristine. it's "Kristine" for most

I had to train for years just to nail the pronunciation of German, but it still sounded off because of my northeast US accent
plus the fact that "CH" has 3 different pronunciATIONS AAAAA
I can see why people don't do the "CH" thing too often, it's just a nightmare for human throats
I can tell people how to pronounce things, but they won't get it unless they hear me speak it
