There was no poison after all, but Rido is grossed out by Haruka!cakes. XD
If you read chapters 42 and 43 of the manga, you know how Rido feels about Juri, and well, the cake part is just my bizarre mind. XD;

VK vampires need to eat food as much as people.
The blood isn't their main source of nourishment or anything. ;D They just need blood for its own properties, but they also need food.
