I'd have loved to use Roserade if I didn't already pledge my heart to Carnivine. I did work on one and find her to be effective. And her Weather Ball is a nice curve ball to throw out. If only I had more TMs of Sludge Bomb, then she wouldn't have Poison Sting.

My only criticism is this is yet another Grass/Poison typing. Seriously we got enough of them from previous gen already and one of them being a starter. At least we get bellosom in Gen 2. And Sinnoh was just only beginning to buff up Grass types. And GameFreak doesn't get a hint and introduce Foongus to us. At least Foongus is memorable for being another pokeball item trap.

Other than that, it's decent.

Budew is my one exception when it comes to post-Gen 2 baby mons.  For one, Roselia by herself felt like it was missing something.  Like if in the days of Red and Blue, we had just Gloom with no Oddish or Vileplume.  Giving it a pre-evo actually makes sense for her, as opposed to Marril and many others.  Furthermore, you encounter Budew before the first gym, making it easy to raise and in line with early game mons in terms of power.
