Anyone who thinks this is out of character for Mima or Marisa, I'd like to point out:A) Mima's goal in SoEW was to kill Reimu, destroy things, and take over the world. She is one of only two genuinely malicious final bosses (The other being Utsuho) and is definitely the smarter of the two.
B) Mima never agreed to Yumemi's conditions in the game, and instead said "No
" And right before the fight says "You will die."C) Marisa was Mima's second-in-command and pretty much did what Mima ordered. She wouldn't help Reimu.
Also, one of the things Mima developed with the technology was a way to remove people's powers, thus how she killed Yukari.

Got to agree with you there, Reimu is okay but I love a powerful character who earned that power through their own merit more then one who's overpowered from the start.

Mima and Shinki settling differences and taking over the surface is fitting, if predictable. Then they try to set up their kids together.

I was thinking Mima and Shinki talk about fixing things over tea or Shinki wins and Mima, Marisa, Reimu, and Yuka are forced to be tour guides.

It wouldn't be permanent. Shinki would cut a deal with them. They serve as tour guides for a while and Shinki will make sure they never kill the humans again.
