Ryetuft yawned, stretching in the early morning sunlight, her tuffed tail flicking back and forth. She padded over to the fresh kill pile to asses what might need to be caught today by glancing it over. She liked to keep a variety of things in the pile for any picky eaters... though one should be great full for food at all. ’more mice, robins too... the birds are becoming scarce though. Their moving to warmer places for the seasons but I’m sure I can find something.’ she glanced up from the pile, looking around wondering if anyone wanted to join her for a hunt or if they needed any help before she was off for the day. Flicking her ear she only managed to spot Ravenheart across the clearing. She’d never much spoken to him or knew much of his other than his name... and how recent events left him with a sprained paw. She smiled waving her tail and making up her mind as she nosed through the prey. Picking up a shrew she padded over waving her tail in greeting.
Alphaheart
A dark figure lied at the edge of the camp, being recently injured... well I wouldn't say injured, but he was on the ground for the day until his paw sprain has healed properly. Ravenheart scanned the camp and enjoying the sight- well of course he had to for the day. No duties for him no matter how much he pushes himself, he always kept being urged to take it easy and let himself heal. Of course he can't fight against his clanmates despite how anxious he was- obviously not liking being lazy. Just hated it! Giving a huff, the tom laid his head between his forepaws being obviously bothered. A white she-cat made his way to him with a shrew in her maw and tail waving in greeting. It was Ryetuft, fellow clanmate of Nara. Having seen her around the camp but not actually talking to her until now. Lifting his head, Ravenheart waved his tail back in a greeting and a slight smile on his face. "Hello Ryetuft," he spoke with a soft and welcoming tone, bowing his head in another greeting while welcoming her to join him in the laziness.

She padded up to him and sat the shrew down before pushing it towards him with her nose and sitting back on her haunches. "Morning Ravenheart," she dipped her head back to him, curling her tail neatly around her paws offering her company to him for the moment. "I heard you'll be having the day off due to a sprain, and well, if your anything like me laying around for a whole day isn't exactly what you want to do." she smiled wide and tipped her head towards the shrew. "It wasn't to long ago I was in your paws, having to take a day off due to a sprain... so I guess I thought to make the healing faster I'd bring you breakfast and keep you company for a bit. If you want it of course." her ear flicked. She wanted to make more friends in her own clan yes, seeing as she kept to herself through out her apprenticeship, but that didn't mean it was easy for her to do. She often felt like a bother to others going about their own day, but maybe this was ok? Ravenheart would need to heal his paw so he could get back to his job but to do that he had to rest. So she couldn't really bother him right now, right?
Alphaheart
"Yes, a damn sprain. With all these fallen leaves around it's sometimes hard to see where you're running and what you run into on the ground." He huffed and gave a slight pout but then his expression changed back to what it was previously. "Sounds like we're alike. I absolutely hate being down for too long. Much rather be out there and making sure the territory is safe." Ravenheart indicated towards the camp entrance and just after that he took the shrew she offered to him. "Of course! I don't mind the company. I'm mostly on my own while I'm out and about. Much rather not be in camp for too long unless it's absolutely important." Being an explorer had duties, much like any other rank that is given. Being an explorer, he takes his rank serious and does what he needs to do and whatever duties is given to him. It's a job that is just perfect for this large dark tom! "Thank you for the kill." After saying so, he then started to bite into the shrew. The stomach where the juiciest meat is located, tearing at it and blood covering maw as he did so. He was hungry and this was the meal that he needed!

"Seems so...!" she purred the tip of her tail rising and falling back again to curl around her paws. She didn't know much about him, she knew he'd arrived in Nara but not where he was from originally. Though thats not really something she minded or needed to know. He seemed like a nice tom and seemed to want to do all he could for Nara so in her book he was alright. It's like her to much care where someones from anyway, seeing as bother her brothers resided in Halcyon... despite her own opinions. She shook her head lost in her own thoughts again only managing to catch his thanks to her. "Of course! I-" she stopped looking down noticing a flash of something in her eye. Her eyes widening she shot up to her paws and in a panicked toned hissed at him "Wait!" she leaned down towards the prey quickly, her fur brushing against his as she bit into the shrew and tore it away from him tossing it to the side. She stuck her tongue out, baring her teeth at it and trying to lick off the fur stuck to her maw. Turning back to Ravenheart she asked quickly. "You didn't swallow any did you?! Do you have any in you mouth? Spit it out if so, dont swallow it!" she shifted her weight on her paws before crouching in front of him waiting for his answer.

Having his kill being torn away from him, he gave a dramatic sad expression. Aw man! Ryetuft became so jumpy suddenly and there was nothing but imaginative question marks surrounding him. Confused and little bit sad that his food was taken away. Being asked that he had food in his mouth, Ravenheart made a noise that food was indeed in his mouth. Being enforced to spit it out, he did so and gave a slight frown. "What is the deal? It tasted good!" Ears pinned against his skull in annoyance, he watched her with light blue gaze trained on her. "Are you alright, Ryetuft? Are you the one that needs to be in camp for a day?"
Sage-2018
She sighed before rolling her eyes at him and lightly cuffing his ear. "No you dolt! Im the vision of health! But had I not kept you from eating that shrew you could have been stuck in camp for much longer than a day." but she offered him an apologetic smile as she turned and padded over to the shrew she'd thrown a tail length away. Nosing it for a moment she wrinkled her nose in disgust before lightly grabbing its tail and dragging it back over to the dark tom. "Look," she nodded at it and pointed to a greenish blackening spot on the shrew, most of it visible only because of the bite Ravenheart had taken out of it. "It's molded over..." she hissed raising her head from the prey tail lashing back and forth. "Well this is... a worrying sign. It doesnt have much of an off putting scent... maybe I didn't notice it because it was in the pile? The only reason I even saw anything was because you bit into it." she flicked her ear annoyed. How disgraceful.... mold or what ever this is could spread like wild fire through the kill pile and those who eat it could run the risk of becoming sick.... the queens, kits, apprentices... all of Nara from one bad piece of prey.
Alphaheart
Dolt?! Ravenheart was taken back at the she-cat's words, but he easily forgave her. He couldn't stay mad at fellow clanmate. "Well we don't want that to happen." speaking in a solemn tone, he looked down at the shrew that he bit into once Ryetuft brought it over to him. An expression of disgust swept across his face as he looked at the mold, "You best check the pile before it starts getting busy over there. We don't want anybody to be getting ill on our watch! I forbid it and I'm sure you will agree to that." His tone harshened a bit and he sort of sat up, straightening his position to be more demanding. "Don't worry about me. Please go check the pile and examine it carefully!" The dark tom didn't want any kits- NOBODY to get ill in this clan. As long he is still standing, he will make sure no harm will come to the clan. It's his home and these cats is his family. If anything happened to them then it would devastate him.
Sage-2018
"Agreed.... Im going to tend to it immediately. Im really sorry," she bowed her head to him apologetically. "I'll make it up to you later, promise!" she quickly wrapped her tail with his, it was her way of making promises and binding them to those she'd made it to, before turning on her heels and bounding over to the kill pile. "Please make sure no body eats that shrew while I check the rest of the prey! I'll get rid of it as soon as I'm done here!" and with that she began pulling the prey from the pile one by one starting with those close to where she'd found the shrew, looking them over and giving them each an exam. Tossing the ones that where ok into a new pile to her left and those that where bad or she feared where contaminated to the right.
Alphaheart
"No need to be sorry. We all make mistakes." he said with a slight smile and he brought the shrew close to him as if he was a selfish and spoiled kit. "I'll protect this molded shrew with my life!" Ravenheart said with an exaggerated determined tone and sat there watching Ryetuft make her way to the pile and checking on it. Such a pleasant cat. The tom thought with a soft expression on his face. The tom continued to sit there keeping an eye on the cats with his right paw on the torn shrew with claws digging into it and blood slowly coming out and lightly covering his claws.
