Technically this is the first piece of DN fan art.From back in July...
The marker/colored pencil work went really bad...
so instead of shredding it I threw it aside...
Saw it again last week...and thought:
"well hell, might as well finish.."
it is all the Bobby Chiu I have been listening to...
took out a colorless blender and removed the
bad marker and used different color pencils.
Like the title says...Matt is in Mu.
Materials:
-Copic Markers
-Dixon colored pencils
-Photoshop

The shading and colours in the hair are fantastic and how the hair and smoke moves makes the picture very unique.

Ah, Mu, the thing that made the series really sad for me.
In the DN reality it is where the dead go.
The author at the end of DN manga really made a point to stress this fact.
The 2nd to the last chapter mentions it 2nd on the normal Death note rules page.
Rules [basically]:
-all humans die no matter what
-all go to Mu [nothingness]
then there is the final one, last page:
-no one can ever return
