WHUUUT?Something that ISN'T Phantom of Facebook?
LEGASP.
Every year before school starts I make covers to print out and glue onto my notebooks. My English notebook is black and I was like "English... black... OMG SWEENEY TODD."
I went with pictures from the movie instead of the stage production because 1, good quality pictures are way easier to find and 2, Sweeney is more recognisable in the movie because on stage Sweeney looks more like a normal... albeit pale and grey... human being.

Thanks! Yeah, I've been doing this for a few years now.It's fun and it gives me a chance to practice using Photoshop because I don't use it as much as I used to.
Yeah, I'm not one for bloody things so though the movie is what got me into Sweeney Todd, I like the stage version better. That, and just being a musical theatre nerd, lol. :3 I'm still in love with it, though. <3

And that's cool, I like the stage version as well, but I prefer the look of the movie. Idk
Really the movie is much much different obviously because theater and film have suffrage standards for levels of performance (stage requires stronger voices and more exaggerated acting, while film is usually more subtle)
I was actually watching the special features and Stephen Sondheim said that the movie wasn't supposed to be a direct translation from stage to film but rather a movie based off of the stage play, so that's why they cut a lot of songs, because they wanted it to be more about Sweeney himself rather than the surrounding people.

I really don't even know what made me think of it, but the summer before 8th grade when I was still OBSESSED with Taylor swift, I made abunch of Taylor swift covers based on her songs. Last year, Les Mis. This year I couldn't decide on one musical, so I figured I'd to musicals in general. I'm re-using a Les Mis one I really liked, then made this one, a PotO one, a Chicago one, and I'm working on a Urinetown one. I'm having trouble deciding what to do, though. xP

THIS IS FLIPPING AWESOME!!!!! The closest thing I've done to this was tape a picture of Frollo to my science notebook along with a speech balloon that says "DON'T TOUCH MY COOKIES!!!"

that seems like fun to do! I usually just draw on a paper bag then just tape the bag on there but that works 2 lol

I just like to do something a little more creative rather than just carrying around blank notebooks. Besides, everyone knows they're mine. ;D

This is so cool! I wonder if I should start doing this sort of thing for my school notebooks. It would certainly make boring classes a lot more enjoyable if I had a notebook covered in pictures of Phantom or someone to look at the whole time!

You should do it with your notebooks. I think it's fun to do, and on the first few days of school everyone is all "Omg... YOU made THAT?
