love the contrast between the darker trees and the white snow.
i think it's interesting that you chose to NOT make the snow completely white and instead leave it slightly grey - it looks much better with that beautiful light, imho.

The picture was processed from camera raw and the white balance set during processing. This has given the snow a colour that is fairly accurate to the original scene. The sun had just set behind the trees putting the foreground into shade. I did reduce the contrast to give the picture a softer feel.
