A piece i did last night. Playing with FX and shading. I really like how the horns came out. It's my new desktop image lmaoOddly enough I slept really well last night after drawing it. I suppose it's a dream eater thing XD

I really love this piece!
The style of this is quite different from your other artworks, but not in a bad way.
The proportions are spot-on, the pose looks natural and pleasing to the eye, and I just LOVE the colour choices! The shading has a really interesting effect to it, and I do like how you handled the transition from scales to fur; That turned out nicely.

This is a truly magnificent piece of art! It took my breath away; although this isn't anything new from Haasio! It is great as a whole, with perfect anatomy and shading (That also is not something new from this artist, as everyone knows), but looking at the finer details, I was presently surprised to find more amazing parts, such as the line-less nose, the highlights on the fur, the realistic bumps on the skin, and the skin itself (I will talk more about this later).
The only parts about this drawing I am able to critique are, first, the thick outline, and second, the bright horns. The outline seemed a bit too thick, especially since there were parts of the piece that had no lines at all. With such realism, the thick border took a little of the mystique away from the drawing. The second issue was very minor - I am, sadly, a very nitpicky person by nature. I feel as though due to the fact where the light was coming from, and the brightness of it, the horns should not have been so bright. As I tried to look at the drawing as a whole, I found my eyes drawn to the horns a bit too much. Again, this was simply a minor issue.
Now that we are done with the issues, I would like to talk about the skin. I don't think I have ever seen such realistic reptilian skin! It perfectly captures the essence of what skin looks like in real life. The fur does this as well! I especially like the groove going up the muzzle/forehead. I have a dog, and that is exactly what it looks like in real life! You have done an amazing job at "drawing from life", as they say. I couldn't even imagine how long it took to shade this piece. In fact, I almost feel bad calling it "shading" because it is not simply differentiating from dark and light - it is creating a texture, so real you could reach out and touch it, and THAT is what true art is all about.

I was trying to find a way for the lineart to get toned down, but ArtStudio's coloring method left a rugged pixelly outline that had to be covered up xD
I'll definitely try to plan ahead more with the sketches next time though!

Overall its a very nice piece, it's smooth and colorful with a thick line which works well for the overall feel. The position, angle wise is really well done and makes sense to the anatomy. Props to that, its hard to get horns right from different angles but you pulled it off. The Shading is well done and the background is fluid, it doesn't distract from the piece it simply compliments it. The color scheme is very nice, its not very contrasting but I don't think that's what you were going for anyhow.
The nose is adorable and perfectly done.
Honestly going into"What you could improve on," I don't have much to say, with the style you were using and the idea you were going for, you pulled it off beautifully. It might be different if I were to compare it to something else, but for what you were doing and how you did it, I say, well done. It is however not very original, typical headshot type thing, which is fine ^^ not much impact either. The technique is flawless. Great work.
