Art trade with TrueShinyinkfox (wishlist thingy), their OC, Obsidian the NightWing.So, Obsidian here, has firescales, so I tried to incorporate that into the orange "NightWing lateral line". Β

I thought only SkyWings had firescales.

well, they breathe fire, so any tribe that could breath fire can theoretically have firescales. Β Foeslayer herself implies it. Β
"I haven't seen firescales in a very long time."
But, as we read about her story, she's never had much contact with the SkyWings, except Peril. Β And even if she did, the SlyWings killed their firescales. Β

Yes, but only the SkyWings are confirmed to have firescales. She probably got dragged on a few more missions by her mother, so perhaps, before they were the SkyWing's enemies, the NightWings were they're allies. Who knows, perhaps Foeslayer caused a diplomatic incident by attempting to rescue a condemned firescales dragonet.Β
