heh....i got bored in painting class, so i dug out a book on carnivors i had handy and drew this lil guy....its an african hunting dog (or whichever name ya wanna call it...there's more than one)...anywho..its just a simple pencil sketch...im still pickin at it..but this is about how done its gonna get i believe ^-^...enjoyRelated content

Absolutely beautiful shading, an excellent rendition, I like the angle of view, it is different than the usual & I love the job you did on the eyes! They are focusing on something, probably prey! Bravo!

The eyes, the general shape of the head, the ears look to big for the head, the nose looks to long and it looks like it looking down on us from the sky.. its looking down like it is god or something. do you know what i mean?

The ears are correct, in fact could be a little larger, the length of nose is correct.
This is an African hunting dog also known as a Cape Hunting Dog I believe. They hunt in packs & are topline predators, they are cunning & intelligent. This is a good rendition.
They are facinating creatures, you should look them up!

lol....yeah the whole looking down bit can probably be contributed to the fact that i did not draw the legs in (the dog was standing and had its head down lookin at another)....the ears are actually a little small i thought ^-^....i dunno if you are familiar with this species (the african wild dog, or african hunting dog)....they have quite large ears =^-^=....as far as the nose length goes i'll have to look at the pic when i get it out that could be a mistake on my part ^-^.

^-^....sure it may take me a little while (i've gotta find the book in whatever box its in first)...but i will send it right over to ya when i do....heh, it might be my drawing though...the picture is pretty small so i probably missed a detail someplace...if ya dont mind me asking what is it that looks a little funny?
