Hirose Yua
The high priest of the temple. He has direct communication with the gods and acts as the intermediary between the villagers and the deities who reside in the tower. Although Yua generally doesn't perform personal household rituals, he's responsible for the official purifications and most other grand ceremonies.
Originally born to a common family low in social standing, most acknowledge him as gifted in his position but there's lingering resentment about his lineage.
