*le gasp* He's got...fur?It's weird, lately, I've been falling in love more and more with canines and slightly losing interest in dragons. I didn't wanna completely scrap Saicuaph though, since I still love his design...for the most part. Instead, I just gave him some more canine-like qualities. XD
Random sketches I mostly did during school. I'm messing around with Saicuaph's design a bit. Ima submit an actual updated character sheet later on, and I'll probably either scrap or delete this when I do. First though, I want your opinions on the design. Is there anything else I should change? Are there changes I made that I shouldn't have? Suggestions for colors other than the old color design? Ya know, stuff like that. Just one thing though, one way or another, he's getting fur. And not counting the design, please don't give any critique on this. These sketches took maybe 3-5 minutes a piece each, so there's obviously gonna be things that are wrong.

At first I didn't like fur being on a dragon (I like to stick to the fact that reptiles don't have hair). But after a while I grew to like it. I decided to try my hand at drawing the left one. Tell me what you think [link] . I accidentally made his neck shorter but I like it, what do you think?

To me the fur kinda looks like feathers.
Probably cause I've seen so many dragons with feathers.
Reptiles. With feathers on them. Seems to be a trend.

Lol, well scientists are starting to believe that dinosaurs had feathers, so that's probably where the trend is coming from. XD

Like a year ago, DUNNN! Dinosaurs dont look like what you think they look like, THEY HAVE FEATHERS! (And I'm aware that they probably found this out quite a while ago, but I'm behind the times.)
I just couldnt imagine a T-Rex with feathers. >.<

Well his lower jaw and cheeks are uh...furred? Is that a real word? XD The rest of his head is hard, I guess you could say, though it's not technically "scaled" except in the one area under his eyes leading to the nose.

Hmm, personally I still prefer his old design, but I like the fluffy chest fur ^_^ 3-5 minutes each? That's pretty amazing considering the detail put in them. Saicuaph rawks

Fuzzy vaguely canid dragons = YES. I'm glad to see he keeps his awesome scale patterns, though.

I actually like the new design...having a mix of scales and fur is pretty cool to me, and if you're merging interest points that only adds to the meaning---which is good. Looks sweet to me.

Hmm...that would be a interesting twist. Maybe the other forms would make him more canine than dragon then? hrm...don't mind me just the muses talking.

Hehe, considering the other forms are the embodiments of you know who, it would probably make him more dragon than canine actually. XD I'm think of making Vagrant Red a very furry dragon, and that'll explain all of the fur on Saicuaph. XD

The fur is a nice touch actually, canines mixed with dragons I sometimes do that. xD
