it is hard for me to believe how striking this image is. i have never been a fan of the brighter earthen hues which appear in this picture, but the various forms of illumination on the base, stem (is that the proper term? ), and rim of the glass, the curved surfaces of the candlesticks, and the tray give a heightened sense of atmosphere and composure to the image - two things which could be utterly destroyed if this one aspect was excluded. i also like how various parts of the back wall and the wine surrounding the model give the impression of viewing mixed media.

there is this hazy, greenish smudge thingy that's on the viewer's left of the model - did you put that there on purpose? it seems a little out of place with the rest of the image.

you're welcome.

ah, it all make sense now. *nods sagely* i'm sure that there are people who're far worse with photoshop than you are. i can barely even make a stick figure on the blasted program, let alone transform an image into what you have here.

I could go for a glass right about now. The last time i had one was ten years ago. *.*
The lighting is very deligate and precious in this one. The orange intensity has enlightining cast. Its as if the wine itself telling its glorious transformation. Nice work!

Kind of like those wine commercials. A sutle but nice interest, i suppose.

thank you...its slightly tilted though...which i could fix in photoshop...but maybe the slight tilt enhances the wine effect?

Good work, once again . Maybe the picture is a bit too dark, I would love to see the details of the candle holders.
