Technically the book series is finished. It just ain't gonna get translated into English past book 4. At least that's what I read.

Hm? Books 5 and 6 were translated by Eugene Woodbury, I believe. But the ending of the 6th book was totally a cliffhanger...! Books 7 and 8 were translated online by fans, but they are unrelated (though still interesting) short stories that didn't follow up on the sixth's events. Between book 7 and book 8, 12 years passed, so a part of me still hopes the author will write the actual sequel to book 6.
