She only appeared in the artbooks, she was originally going to be found by the senshi when they returned to the ruined Moon Kingdom but then that role was changed to Queen Serenity~

I am so happy to see you make & submit a new picture of Diana the Moon Fairy, it's so great to see you draw her again, and two years after seeing the previously submitted artpiece featuring her, she still looks as beautiful as I recall, and also, as I look at this, it makes me want to consider drawing her again myself sometime, especially since she is such an adorable character!
