ATTACK! JOKERS ARE WILD!
Jun has received intel that one of your own has been attacked! The Trinity inform you that the Jokers who attacked before are now targeting another senshi! It seems they’ve located one in Australia and have drawn her out, but to what purpose, they’re not sure just yet. She appears to be the same one encountered by a small group during an initial recon mission! (Tech Saavy:fav.me/d97jabv ) They ask you to hurry there and help her before it’s too late. Jun has set up the coordinates for your brooches, you’ll appear directly in the concert hall. Your mission: Take on one or both of the Jokers and attempt to rescue your Senshi sister.

Jackie stood at the back of the room, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt as she listened to the Trinity tell the girls of the attack. It was the two that had laid those traps not too long ago. The Jokers, they called themselves, and they seem to have targeted a senshi who hadn’t responded to the summoning like the others. What could that mean? And what could Jackie possibly be able to do about any of it? She chewed on her lip nervously. She knew there was no way she would be able to take them on, not by herself. Her powers weren’t exactly geared towards offensive abilities, and knowing those two…..
“Jackie?”
A soft, accented voice made her jump and she looked over to see a pair of big brown eyes staring at her. “R...Ruby!” she gasped, putting a hand to her chest. Her heart thumped loudly against her ribs. “You startled me!”
“Ah, sorry, sorry,” the younger girl shifted, embarrassed, “I didn’t mean to. You just, you looked worried. I wanted to see if you were okay.” Ruby offered a sympathetic smile.
Jackie blinked a few times in surprise before she managed to smile back, “I’m okay, I just, I’m not sure I can be of any use on my own…”
“Well, do you want to come with me and help me?”
Again, Jackie blinked, staring at Ruby. They had been getting to know each other slowly over the last couple of weeks, and it was all kind of new to her, all so different from what she was used to, but it, and Ruby were a pleasant surprise and change. She couldn’t help but smile and laugh when she was around the other girl. Slowly Jackie nodded and smiled, taking Ruby’s outstretched hand. “Sure.”

Radiant Sailor Hiddenite Margay and Shining Sailor Ruby Salamander appeared in the concert hall with a flicker and a flash. The place was now empty save the two Jokers and the other senshi A loud piercing laugh rang through the empty chamber as the two new arrivals made their way further in.

“Oh LOOKIE!!!! Fishy has friends!!”
The Joker with the green hair and large reptilian tail was leering at them from the steps of the concert stage. Behind her, laying limp in a puddle of water on the floor, was a girl with seafoam blue hair, dressed in a fuku similar to the Crystal Animamate’s. Muttering under her breath,Ruby Salamander took an assertive stance and addressed the tailed woman.
“Release the girl, Bruja! Or me and Hiddenite Margay will Roast and Smoke you!” she shouted, her warning reverberating off the walls.
There was a soft chuckling, that continued to grow louder. Looking up, Hiddenite Margay saw the remaining Joker standing in the box seats on the upper balcony. “Honey don’t try and threaten US with a good time.” The Joker said as she lit up a cigarette and ruffled her bat like wings. She took a long draw and blew it out with a grin on her face “I promise it will not end well for you.”

“You want the Fishy?” The one on the stage taunted, a glint appearing in her lime green eyes. “Come GET HER.” She kicked the limp senshi’s body.
Ruby Salamander sprung into action, racing towards the fallen senshi’s aid. The young girl sprang up the stairs, taking a swing at the green haired woman. The other smirked and stepped aside, using her tail to smack Ruby sharply across the back, causing the red-head to stumble forward and trip over the fallen senshi. Ruby let out a small cry as she fell, quickly tucking into a roll to avoid completely sprawling over the prone figure. She sprang to her feet and turned to face her enemy, just in time to squeak and duck as the Joker’s tail lashed out at her again. Staggering back, she dodged a second, and a third attack, her eyes darting frantically as she mentally judged distance between her and the other girl. Her heart pounded in her chest. Ruby tried her best to avoid the attacks, ducking and stumbling away. She had no idea whether or not she'd be able to keep this up for long, whether she and Jackie were ready for this, ready to fight. Her body shook with the fear and the adrenaline, but she knew they had no choice right now. She kept moving back, luring the Joker away from the other girl, her lips moving silently as she counted her steps. Her back hit the far wall.
“What’s the matter Red, run out of space?” The Joker grinned, baring her fangs as her hand began to glow green, “Nowhere left to go, little sheep, now hold still and let me HEY!”
Ruby smirked and pushed herself off the wall, ducking and sliding on her knees underneath the Joker’s raised arm. She turned quickly, hands outstretched towards the enemy and yelled, “Conflagration Inferno!”
A wave of fire erupted from beneath her and rolled towards the tailed woman. The Joker snarled and leapt out of the way, her tail getting singed as she wasn’t able to move quite fast enough. She landed with a hiss and launched herself at Ruby as the girl was turning to face her again, and slammed her fist into Ruby’s stomach.
With a gasp, the red-head doubled over before having her feet swept out from under her. She landed heavily, raising her arms to block a second attack from the other’s tail.

As Ruby Salamander leapt to go help the fallen senshi, Hiddenite Margay watched as the Joker with wings leapt off from the balcony and glided down to join the fight. She swooped completely over Hiddenite Margay’s head and landed slightly down the aisle before the concert stage. Hiddenite Margay ran after her and caught up right behind her.
“Smoke and Mirrors!” all from around her a thick green smoke erupted and filled the aisle way around the Joker.

“You better not have forgotten that I’m here too!” Hiddenite Margay’s voice echoed from within the smoke. The Joker with the messy red mohawk turned and looked over her shoulder in the direction Hiddenite Margay was standing.

“You want to fight me you little imp…?” The Joker hissed. She straightened out her wings and began to beat them in an effort to clear away some of the smoke. From out from underneath the Joker, Hiddenite Margay had come in just close enough to land a glancing blow under the Joker’s jaw. Staggered back from this blow, the Joker growled and with a final gust cleared away the wind, revealing Hiddenite Margay holding her fists up. She lifted one finger and made a come here motion.
The Joker with the red hair let out a low threatening snicker “You ARE serious!” She straightened up with an amused smirk, “And here I was thinking I was going to be bored” She shouted as she leapt forward into Hiddenite Margay.

“Smoke and Mi--” Hiddenite Margay began to say before the Joker’s fist connected across her face knocking her back several steps. Hiddenite Margay’s ears rang as she saw spots momentarily. Instinctively she brought her arms up to block the next upcoming barrage that the Joker was bringing. Making sure to keep her eyes on her opponent's collar bone she was able to deflect several blows. Right- Left- Right- LEFT Hiddenite Margay counted the punches and as the Joker reared back to throw another punch Hiddenite Margay reached up and caught her fist.
“MESMERIZE!” Hiddenite Margay shouted as she locked eyes with the Joker, who in turn stared her down.
“Hypnotic Binding” The joker said loudly as her yellow eyes began to swirl slowly. She brought her free arm back threw another punch towards Hiddenite Margay. Not breaking eye contact with her opponent. Hiddenite Margay brought up her free arm to block the punch. She grunted under the strain of taking the punches while trying to maintain her Mesmerize on the Joker.

“You can’t beat me” The Joker grinned maliciously as her eyes began to swirl faster, their particular pattern beginning to draw Hiddenite Margay in. Hiddenite Margay felt a fear of helplessness wash over her like she hadn’t felt in such a long time. Hiddenite Margay’s eyes dropped to the Joker’s lips her vision swimming.

“Overwhelming Control” The lips said. At this particular phrase Hiddenite Margay felt a dull cloud of fog begin to creep into her head. Her knees gave way as she clutched at her two tone green hair.

“No no--no-NO” Hiddenite Margay began to mutter as her vision began to blur. The Joker towered over her with a look of disdain and scorn.

‘GET UP’ a voice commanded from inside Hiddenite Margay’s head. She looked back up at the concert stage to see Ruby Salamander fighting the other Joker in a sea of smoke and flames as explosions echoed throughout the whole hall.

‘GET UP’ the voice commanded again. Ruby Salamander was risking everything to save this senshi that neither of them knew. This same partner who had taken the time to make sure that she felt included in the Crystal Caverns. Hiddenite Margay felt an instance of mental clarity as the fog in her mind began to recede

‘STAND UP’

Hiddenite Margay slowly got to her feet. The Joker patted her on the head while she sneered. “I just knew you’d see things my way.”

Hiddenite Margay looked up challenging the Joker, “Smoke and Mirrors!”As she cried out another large cloud of thick green smoke erupted around them catching the winged Joker off guard. as Hiddenite Margay made a dash for Ruby Salamander whose fight was still going.

Ruby Salamander was panting, she hadn’t expected to be fighting this long or against an opponent this tricky.

“What’s wrong Skink?” the Joker with the large tail taunted “You need to take a break?” Ruby Salamander resumed her fighting stance.

“Nothin’s wrong, I just thought I’d be facing someone stronger.” Ruby Salamander shot back. This visibly irritated the Joker.

“I am stronger than you will ever be!” She roared “Debilitating STARE”

Ruby Salamander immediately noticed that she couldn’t move. A shiver of cold ran through her bloodstream as every muscle in her body screamed to move forward, to attack. As her body refused to listen the green haired Joker chuckled darkly her eyes never leaving her opponent.

"I could kill you right here you know...Petrification Impact.” her hands began to glow with a dark green miasma. The Joker began to walk slowly towards her prey her hands up reaching for Ruby Salamander’s throat.
“Smoke and Mirrors!” Hiddenite Margay’s voice called out from beside the two of them. Green smoke appeared between them and as eye contact was lost the green haired joker cursed loudly. When the smoke cleared both Hiddenite Margay and Ruby Salamander were gone. From across the room a door slammed open as two figures retreated into the venue’s halls. The joker with the green hair began to sprint after them when the other spoke up loudly.

“Leave ‘em, BB.” The joker with the bat wings was lighting up yet another cigarette. “We have our prize.” She said nodding to the limp body on the concert stage. The Joker with the green hair glared at the slow closing door before turning on her heel. She went over to a wall and slammed her fist into it while letting out a loud frustrated roar that echoed throughout the whole building.

“--Margay! JACKIE!” Ruby Salamander shouted in protest in an attempt to get her partner to listen to her. Hiddenite Margay was running at full bolt with her hand clamped around Ruby Salamander’s wrist.

“We have to go back!” Ruby Salamander tried to reason. Hiddenite Margay slowed down to a stop without letting go.

“We can’t win against them.” Hiddenite Margay stated sternly as she turned to face her friend.

“We still have an obligation to save that other senshi!” Ruby Salamander argued.

“We are not strong enough” Hiddenite Margay’s voice quivered. “I am not strong enough.”

There was a moment of silence as Ruby Salamander processed the statement before shaking her head. “We were great there! We almost had them if we could just team up to take one of them out we could win!”

Hiddenite Margay looked her in the eyes. “That… Joker with the wings… She almost had me under her spell. Under her command… she wanted me to hurt you…” Hiddenite Margay looked down and away. “I had to get us out of there.” She let go of Ruby Salamander’s wrist.
Ruby paused once more as she studied Margay’s face. Finally her eyes softened and she reached out, taking Jackie’s hand in both of hers, “You’re right. They’re too strong for us right now. You saved my butt back there. How can I thank you?”
Jackie’s cheeks flushed and she shook her head, averting her gaze, “N-no need, I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“Me too,” Ruby smiled, “I’m glad you’re not hurt either.”
The green-haired senshi shuffled her feet, feeling her cheeks warm more. She wasn’t used to someone being so...genuine and nice to her like that. She wasn’t entirely sure how to feel about it all. “Th--thank you. Now..c-come on. We, we should get back a-and let the Trinity know what happened.”
The other girl readily agreed, and together, they teleported themselves back to the Caverns.
