Nope, he's a famousΒ anime/manga kitty and a icon in Japan. He's been around since the 60's/70's. His anime is STILL going on, like Spongebob and the Simpsons. You can watch his anime on ether youtube (They might be in Japanese and uncensored.) or on Disney XD (Where's in English).
