Zuko actually does have some pretty Slytherin-y traits, but his fail at lying keeps him from getting in.

I recall a fanfic in which Zuko got into Gryffindor though he was from an all-Slytherin family and his dad sent a howler the next day that instead of shouting at him, spit fire using the dark arts and burnt half his face off. With Madame Pomfrey's healing, his head was saved, but he was horribly scarred and therefore gossiped about.
Ozai would totally do that. Ty Lee is a true HufflePuff, and Mai would probably be slytherin, but like Snape.

I dunno about Mai in Slytherin though--with ambition as a key trait, it doesn't seem very Mai-like.

she is totally unambitious, but she is crafty. plus, kinda like how hufflepuff is supposed to be about loyalty but it's really where they put all the 'rest', slytherin is more about being a death eater's kid than ambition. i know lol what a nerdy thing to over think ^.^

I guess Ty Lee is Hufflepuff... And I guess Mai is Ravenclaw or Gryffindor just as Zuko... (Because of Zuko.

Mai was a little harder to decide, but I'm going with Gryffindor. Mostly due to actions in TBR, but also for things like disobedience with the wall sludge juice. XD
