my best tips on the skintones which you suggested is, as always, reference. mai ales those typical tutorials for forming your eye, dar chiar si just picking up PHOTOS and looking at the colors on them. make a pallete set of the various skintones, in different lighting situations, look at em, compare, contrast, analyze... I never got the colors right without looking at how colors worked together in other pictures... besides, you can also edit variations on the image when you feel that it's not working out - make it redder or yellower or more contrasted, etc However, my issue with this drawing is rather that that intense light should affect the skin like really intense light. check some values in black and white pictures taken under a powerful lamp-illumination. the contrast is heavier, and more of the shadows are dampened.
*shrug* I hope this helps on the bright side, your anatomy kicks my anatomy's butt anyday, and I am IN LOVE with the pose and the general sense of the image... it'll be amazing when it's done I wish I could handle poses like these so nicely

Thanks very much, I'll try to use ref photos for some colors.
I know the lighting is not the best, ca nu l-am terminat inca, pe mine ma calca pe nervi culoarea aia inchisa pe care am trantit-o asa de neinspirat in umbre.
*sigh* nu cred ca o sa castig ceva and I'm only getting my hopes up.

Wow, Sainasan that looks like it's going to be a very powerful piece. One thing I noticed is the background is kinda too sudden. The change that is.

Yes, I am working on it, didn't figure out what to fill the gap with, but I'll think of something. I think it would be a bit brutal if I just made the transition from heaven to hell directly.
To my opinion drawing some flames would be too typical, since one of the criteria on which the prize is given is originality.

Thank you very much, it's a project for the Bring Your Vision to life contest organized by Wacom, and I am really twisting my head for ideas.

Thank you very much, but there are about 8000 contestants and I don't really know if somebody else didn't come up with a better idea.
