Description
It felt very wrong for me to design a fantasy version (or even attempt a real version) of deities from indigenous cultures, so for any prompt like this I'll just do something else. I finally got around to drawing a Nevverse Bugbear! Or "Bogbear", both names are interchangable, perhaps even "Hogbear" or "Gobbear" if you're feeling fancy. Bugbear are a very tall group of peoples most closely related to Goblin and Orc. They are classified as Beast-Headed. They have quite the reputation for being ferocious and wild, but it's hardly earned. Bugbear are frequently mistaken for wild animals by people who don't know better, and their more ape-like facial expressions and defensiveness of their families can lead to some terrible misunderstandings. Bugbear tend to keep to themselves, but this isn't a hard and fast rule. Some say that Goblin look like baby Bugbear, and this has lead to some interesting stories in Bugbear circles regarding their own version of a "Changeling", that ended up being an adult Goblin enjoying some TLC.
