Thanks very much for sharing the parameters/flame packs. Here [link] is one that I tweaked from "Pink Shells for Valentines".

BTW, What version of Apo were you using for these?

You are very generous with this flame pack. I might say a little too generous.

This is a great flame pack for beginners and veterans alike. You're great for sharing it.

saisao In reply to ClaireJones [2007-04-20 10:59:34 +0000 UTC]

main idea of this is i just want to give back the good things other people gave me... hmmm... you for example, i learned alot about julians because of your "Julian Uncovered" paper. ~Phraktalous is the one responsible for giving me the idea of putting final transformation into work. another things is, i love to see others enjoying apophysis as much as i do... especially the newbies... about the veterans who liked it too, hmm..they can do deeper studies about this flames and maybe brought up some new techniques or idea that can make apophysis more interesting to others...

im sorry if i exploited your JulianUncovered flame so much claire...

ClaireJones In reply to saisao [2007-04-20 18:07:52 +0000 UTC]

I've had flame parameters come back to bite me, which is why I said you were too generous. Awhile back I had considered releasing certain parameters of my more popular pieces as a way to show new users how I created flames. About the same time, I had been bullied by another dA user to give him certain parameters. The situation became really bad and after that, I made sure that any flames I released publicly would be completely in the public domain in the event that people abused the flame packs. I wanted to have as few emotional ties to those flames as possible. I try not to let it get to me, but too often I see renders from my flame packs that are near identical to the originals. Looking back, I'm glad that I never released a flame pack of my most popular renders.

thank you so much for that claire..hmm...that is a really serious thing i shouldve considered...i've seen someone who posted really almost looked like my render too...really that, makes me a little worried when he said, "Looks like we have the same talent!" dang! that comment really killed me...well elonie agreed with your comment too... i will never release a flame pack of my most popular renders too... thank you so much for reminding me... hope you dont get mad at me tweaking JulianUncovered...

CorazondeDios [2007-04-07 23:00:13 +0000 UTC]

I downloaded it and unzipped it into Apo 2.05 beta into scripts, but I can't find it. I'm a total noob with apo so maybe I did it wrong.

I used winzip and unzipped it into programs/apo/scripts (approximation of path)

does that sound right?

CorazondeDios In reply to CorazondeDios [2007-04-07 23:42:08 +0000 UTC]

nm -- I just pasted it under scripts instead of parameters. i got it now.
