Encircling a campfire, Sora was having the time of her life. It was her first time at the genin away camp, an event that occurred annually to test survival skills. After all, Iwa only wanted the best. It was Toyotomi's fifth time at genin camp, having been on his own team for the first time that year. He was far from thrilled about it when he had briefed Sora, and she could tell why. The girls from the other two genin teams that formed Sora's camp loved to ask silly questions, and for some reason, the others didn't seem to mind asking. She absently wondered if the other genin camps made from other genin teams did the same thing.

"Okay, okay," one piped up, "I've got a good question! If you had just one person to say goodbye to, who would it be? For me, it'd be Kaino!" Kaino seemed quite pleased with himself at her answer. The person to his left said his dog.

"And you, Toyotomi-kun?" asked the other girl from the third team.

She didn't quite understand why, but Sora felt her heart banging against her chest. Was Toyotomi looking at her? She couldn't tell, and she didn't dare to look. After an irritably long silence, he answered, "My mother."

Sora desperately hoped she did not let out as big of a sigh of disappointment as she felt she had. She quickly muttered, "Mikaiyo," which was met with a little surprise but no questions. The questioning continued, Sora offering the most concise answers possible to avoid showing her disappointment. Not, of course, that Toyotomi hadn't noticed.
