This picture is just so filled with sorrow and I'm in the mood for sorrow right now so I'll comment on it. I don't trust my judgement enough to make a critique though ;D

But I really think this kind of picture is the one with the heaviest meaning. Not the ones that show us Saori happily after her death, reunited with Deidara (those are beautiful as well, and create something bittersweet together with this one... but more about that later) but the people that remain to mourn for the dead.
I don't know where, but somewhere I heard "don't pity the dead, pity the living"... and while I really don't know where I got that from, it fits this picture just... perfectly.

Shirotsuki looks defeated, energyless, almost broken. Saori seems to have meant a lot to him, he's on his knees, supporting himself on the tombstone, which gives you the feeling that he has to hold on to it, that he has to hold on to her to not... fall together. Her death has torn him apart and now he's left to mourn her, probably forever, but he's still clinging onto her, or the thing that's left.
Still doesn't want her to be dead then?
If he knew the things we know.

She's reunited with the person that (if I can say that) has meant the most to her, someone who's been a friend and a brother at the same time and she has left the cruel world she has lived in before.
Saori is probably happy now, but she can't see Shirotsuki missing her and she can't tell him he shouldn't. But they'll meet again one day and then she'll tell him.
"Don't pity the dead, pity the living."

This turned into a weird mix of comment and things going around my head tonight, sorry for not making it a proper comment... You're picture is awesome though, very powerful. Filled with meaning. Crushing.

Ahh, well I love this as much if not more than a critique It makes me happy to see that my art has provoked some thought, I think I've said that before haha Me, too. When making all these drawings, I thought the most touching part would be when Deidara reunites with her in the dreamscape world, but in fact, I learned while making this amv and writing the fanfction, the saddest part for me was writing and drawing the people who were still alive. I haven't been in that position myself, but I imagine it's very hurtful :c so your quote of "don't pity the dead, pity the living" works very well!

Hmm, you can definitely say that she is reuinted with the person that has meant the most to her, I think. She didn't get to spend enough time with Shirotsuki and the rest of her extended family to develop a bond in the intensity of Deidara's. I think, if Saori could see this Shirotsuki, she would become broken too :c

It was a lovely comment~ I enjoyed reading it very much. THank you so much for your thought and time

Also found the source of the quote (finally): Dumbledore! xD
Honestly, it's probably one of the few things I could actually remember from the books, but maybe because it has been flowing around the last days for some time... nevermind
Probably the truest quote I've ever gotten out of a book as well :]

That's good then, I was really worried it wouldn't work out that way, but somehow their relationship is something very special so... but it's some time ago that I've last read her story and you can never be sure about one thing.

Not much thought in it to be honest, I was working on a small poetry-project at the same time, so some of that might have flown into that random alignment of meaningful sentences. I've realized it's the best I can do ;D

This is really nice.I like the coloring, and I can kind of relate to the image (not because someone from my family died or anything),because of a bond that I share with my brother.

Thank you~ Oh, I was scared when I first read that you could kind of relate, I thought something terrible had happened to your family. I am glad that nothing such as this happened c: You have a brother? I always wanted a big brother, though I'm told they're very annoying and sometimes disgusting. I'm very fond of the "big brother protector" concept~ :3 maybe too much (lol) X3

No problem.NAh,I don't have that kind of luck, thank God.
Yeah,a little brother,he is 3 years younger than me,and we are pretty close. Thanks to him,I am into gaming, and we play a lot together.I am more the protective sister type.
And I do have a big brother, but he is my brother from my aunts side,so my cousin...This is easier for me to understand in Serbian, haha.Anyway,he is a good brother,we have a lot of fun when we see each other. We have a lot to talk about, since I am going to the same school that he used to go.
And it's okay,I sometimes wish that I was the younger sister...Most of the times, when I am at a friends house, celebrating birthdays and such,I am usually the oldest one...
