I might as well hop on the band wagon and do this pokeddexy thing! For December 1st, my favorite Bug type is Anorith! Since I'm absolutely terrible at completing large-scale projects, let's see how long it takes me to stop doing these!
Experimented with a quicker shading/reflecting technique for this piece. Fairly satisfied with how it turned out, though it's a tad messy in places.

IKNOWRIGHT? I used to think those red marks were his eyes at first actually. When I found his real eyes, he went from badass to adorable!

So cute! I think it was a good decision to have Anorith shifted to the upper right corner rather than centered. Whenever I played my sapphire version I'd always pick this guy's fossil, haha.

I always just put him in storage and never evolved him either. I don't know, I never really had need of a bug/rock type? But, I got to make the choice, so of course I picked the cooler-looking one.
