I've been trying to improve my characters lately because when I look back on my old drawings and notes I can not believe how scattered and unoriginal everything was. The problem with me is that it takes several sessions of me brainstorming and hating everything I make. I'm still not 100% happy with Liora, I still think she looks like an older princess Zelda

Liora's name is Hebrew and means "My light" she is a side character of my first story Gemstone. Liora is the queen of the Diamond kingdom and her heartstone is a Pearl "though looking at her you can't tell!" She is an expert swords-woman and a healer, she is also Aaron's mother. When she sister started a war on her and the other kingdoms it was Liora who tried to talk sense into Queen Dionne to no avail. After years of war and strife Queen Liora finally had enough when her husband died and used a very powerful spell to lock her sister away in her castle. To do this she had to give up her physical form and now lives as a spirit. Liora acts as an advisor to the group, she is kind and wise but can be strict and not above letting others learn a lesson the hard way. As Aaron's mother she often worries about him taking on too much responsibility at his age and she appreciates the girls giving Aaron a sense of normalcy he did not get growing up.
