This on scraps since this is scrappy xDThis is another "Quest for Improvement" thingie, but I did submit this en scraps becase I just can submit one deviation and that one is the Yun one, so this is just for fun too xD
This is when I just started to like anime, since in my house or school arent any internet and copyes of draws of sailor moon, I started to draw from scratch, I couldn't copy anythin becase there wasn't anything to copy to, only from the TV show but it's difficult to copy animated figures, so this was the best I could do on those times, x3, poor sailor moon!
X3 I liked how the change looks, so different!!

Sailor Moon was on TV in America in 1997? ._. I mean, I know it was on TV in Japan from 1994-1997, but I didn't think Sailor Moon came to America until 98 or 99.....
Anyway, this is really good!

Sailor Moon was definitely around during the early 90's. I watched it all the time growing up until I moved, which was probably around 1996, where I saw less of it.

I remember the first season as well as the first part of R(with Alan and An) as well as some live-action stuff by English actresses to promote the show. It was significant to me because it was something I used to watch all the time until my family moved. I am very confident it was aired in America before '96 because that's the year I moved. XD When the show was back on on WB/Toonami, it was a culture shock because of the new forms of Sailor Moon and the new soldiers.

I read that the manga first came to America in 97...But I can't find out when the anime came to America...I know I read it somewhere once before, but I can't find it anymore.

The original airing from the DIC dubbing was in 1995. A petition to bring back the series was signed in 1996. That was from the beginning of the series to the end of the R season. Cartoon Network received rights to dub and air S and Super S in 1998.
Not too sure about the release of the manga, though XD I keep seeing the re-release dates for the mangas(need to finish collecting them!). I just know it was first published in 1991 and I recall having them in my early school years, but they were so hard to come by! And incredibly poorly bound

Wow. O_o But in Japan, Sailor Moon debuted in 1992...I think she started working on the ideas and stuff in 1991 though...I know Sailor V came before Sailor Moon, so I'm sure she was already working on Sailor Moon before 1992. I heard that Toei was wanting to turn Sailor V into an anime, but she changed her mind about things and created the Sailor Moon manga, with Sailor V being the prequel.
