Description

Mowgli walked through the Jungle, the man cub had an upset look on his face. Just earlier he had gotten into an argument with his friends and had ran off, his heart having been hurt after what he had been told by them.

He ventured on, all by his lonesome not knowing where he was going or caring either. He climbed up a rock and leapt down it as he mindlessly swing a stick in his hands before tossing it away.

He wiped his nose with his hand refusing to sniffle or cry in anger. After all this time he had been told the same thing over and over by those he had meet. No matter if it was Bagheera or Baloo they eventually had told him the same thing every time and he was fed up with it all.

Mowgli kept walking on for miles paying no attention to where he was going or if anybody was watching him. It didn't matter to him now.

He continued onwards for several minutes as he went on until he came to a more forest filled part of the jungle that was filled with several trees.

The man cub sat down at the base of a nearby tree, a tired look on his face as he sat down near his resting his face on his hands.

Unbeknownst to Mowgli, something began to drift downwards from the tree that he was under and was coming towards him.

It was revealed to be a tail, a long green scaly tail that went below heading towards the boy's unsuspecting waist. He had no idea of what was happening as it began to wrap and tie itself around his bottom securely and began to pull up.

To his surprise, Mowgli found himself being lifted up into the air which startled him at what was happening as he went higher and higher until he went past the branches to the top of the tree and found himself face to face with the owner of said tail.

"Ariel!" He exclaimed in surprise at who he was seeing before him. "Its you!" He said as he was not expecting to see her of all people.

A female with long vibrant red hair was shown before him. She had green eyes and a pleasant smile on her face as she stared at Mowgli. "Hello Man Cub." Ariel said to him. "Its nice to see you again." She commented to him.

Ariel was an unique being, as she had the upper body of a beautiful female human, but the lower body similar to that of a Snake. She was a cross between them, known as a Lamia.

Mowgli frowned at her an annoyed look on his face. "Oh go away," He muttered pulling himself up off the seat of coils that he was on. "Leave me alone." He said to her.

Ariel looked on and frowned at his reaction towards her. "That's not very nice, I say hello and this is how you react?" She told him.

"I don't want to be bothered by you right now." He said as he turned away and began to walk across the branch only to be cut off by her.

"Aren't you rude today?" She said crossing her arms over her chest. "I always try to be nice to you, you know? Shouldn't you try being nice to me as well?" She asked him.

"Hmph," Mowgli replied to her an upset look on his face and went to walk away but was stopped when her tail gripped his hand preventing him from leaving surprising him. "L-Let go Ariel!" He shouted as he had nearly lost his footing having not expected it to happen.

"What's got you in a sour mood today?" Ariel asked him. "I thought we were friends." She told Mowgli with a pout on her face at how he was acting towards her.

Mowgli refused to look at her keeping his face away from hers. "I know that I can't trust you, that I can't trust anyone." He responded to her. "Not after what happened to me."

Ariel looked on at him. "I see that you got into another argument with your guardians today didn't you?" She asked him and he frowned at her and she smirked in response as that was all she needed to know.

Ariel wasn't what you would call bad per say, more mischievous and playful to be exact would describe her. Bagheera had warned him often and repeatedly that she was not to be trusted and to not go near her but Mowgli being the fearless boy that he was had ignored his warnings and had seen her at times.

"They keep telling me that I have to go to the Man-Village but I don't want to!" Mowgli protested to her. "Why can't they understand that I want to stay here?"

"They are only acting that way because they want to make sure that you are safe you know?" Ariel responded to him. "So that you won't be in danger there once you get there."

"Well I can take care of myself, they know that I can handle myself just fine but refuse to accept that I can."

Ariel looked on at him a skeptical look on her face at his words and proclaimation. She had seen him before and knew that the boy was likely to get in trouble in under an hour if he was just out here in The Jungle all by himself with no one around him.

Mowgli kept his head away from her, keeping his face from directly looking her in the eyes, knowing that that was the last thing he wanted to do as he knew what would happen if he did having experienced once before. Only Bagheera's appearance beforehand had undid it much to Ariel's protest that she wasn't hurting him when she did it.

"And just how exactly do you plan on handling yourself in case you run across Shere Khan or a crocodile if I may ask?" She questioned him. "Bat them with a stick?" She sarcastically asked Mowgli.

"Hmph, why do you care?" Mowgli said as he untied his foot from around her tail. Ariel leaned up and placed her arms on his head resting her elbows there as he tried to remove them from them

"You may think those like Bagheera are just being mean to you with how they act but it's only because they are worried about and want you to be safe, and I'd be sad as well if something happened to you as well my cute little friend." She told him. Mowgli tilted his head up bringing his arms to push Ariel's own off of him and turned his head away covering his face with an arm to avoid staring her in the eyes. "You know that it'd be a shame if I couldn't see you again anymore." She said and playfully tilted his head to the side so she could look at him.

Mowgli pulled away and slip under her grasp before he stared directly into at her. "You're not hypnotizing me again Ariel." He proclaimed to her. "I know that you'll just keep me here until they found me again." He said a frown on his face.

"Come now Mowgli," Ariel said to him. "We're friends aren't we? Not my fault that you asked beforehand what it was like is it and that I showed it to you?" She asked with a smirk.

Mowgli kept away but jolted a bit when he felt her tail slide up his back just now startling him as she was teasing him. Ariel leaned forward her long body fully shown as The Lamia stared at him. "You should learn how to relax man cub." She told him.

"Uh uh! I know what you're scheming!" He protested to her and Ariel looked offended at his accusation.

"I have you know that I don't scheme." She told him. "I just come up with ideas and see if they work that's all." She said with a small smile as she looked on at Mowgli. "You need rest Mowgli, I can tell you've been walking for miles and are tired."

"No I'm not." He protested to her as he batted her tail away feeling it go across his legs. "Just leave me alone."

"You're grumpy and unhappy feeling that no one is your friend, but I'm your friend man cub." Ariel said leaning towards him as Mowgli brought his arms up over his face. "And I only want to help you if I can." Mowgli went to turn and walk away from her and jump off the branch to down below when Ariel's lower half of her body blocked his exit. "Let me help you relax and soothe your muscles so that you can rest." Ariel coaxed him as she approached him from behind. "You'll feel good and refreshed once you have done so." She promised him and he turned around to look at her

Mowgli looked on at her and she could tell by his sagging shoulders that he was tired although refusing to admit it. "Are you sure that your my friend?" He asked her his arms still up but not as high as they had been and she smiled at him in response.

"Yes I am, won't you let me help you?"

Mowgli's arms slowly dropped further down as he could tell that she meant what she said and she wasn't hiding anything from him. "How do I know I can?"

Ariel smiled at him and leaned forward so that the two now were face to face. "All you need to believe in me is Trust." She said and her eyes began to change. As they shifted colors and shaped and spirals began to appear in them from yellow to blue to green to purple and other colors

Mowgli looked on at her eyes and his mouth dropped and began to hang open as they began to change, finding himself unable to pull away from it and that he didn't want to look away either. Feeling as though he wanted this to happen to him after what had happened earlier

Ariel like many Lamia's, had an innate magical ability that she possessed. The ability to hypnotize someone by looking at them in the eyes. She was using her hypnotism on Mowgli just now. The man cub's eyes reflected the endless spirals and loops in them as they changed into multiple colors as he felt his mind go empty helpless to do anything on his own

Ariel's own eyes returned to normal as she stared ahead at the boy

As she looked on at him, Ariel began to sing a beautiful melody coming from her voice as she sung towards him

''Trust in me, just in me.

Shut your eyes and trust in me''

The Lamia motioned with her finger a teasing grin on her face for Mowgli to come towards her and Mowgli complied as he closed his eyes and walked towards her an obedient smile on his face as he walked against the branch placing one foot right in front of the other until he reached the edge and started to walk off into empty air.

Ariel's tail pressed up against his forehead, holding him in place and keeping him from aimlessly walking off of the branch and falling down to the ground below. "Just a sec please." She asked him and he complied with her command holding very still.

"You can sleep safe and sound,

Her lower half was brought up and she had formed from them a makeshift staircase for him to walk on. She removed her tail and he did so walking down the flight of scales. Continuing downward on them until he reached the bottom

Knowing that I am around''

His feet touched down and walked across Ariel's smooth bare back. Ariel had on a smile on her face enjoying the feeling of him walking on her body

The man cub continued to walk higher and higher up them unto he began to walk upside down as she had formed a circular loop with her coils and his body fell down into a comfortable position in the middle part of Ariel's body.

The Lamia began to swing the portion of her body that he was lying on like it was a hammock, going back and forth as Mowgli laid there his arms dangling off the side of it. Ariel laid down on the branch chest first as she rocked him there and continued to sing.

"Slip into silent slumber,

Sail on a silvery mist!"

Ariel skillfully tossed the man cub up into the air, balancing him delicately on the tip of her tail. She did so again tossing him up and positioned Mowgli so that he was upside down and looking downwards.

"Slowly but surely your senses will cease to resist."

Mowgli began to snore softly as Ariel leaned her head forward.

"Your snoring little boy." She playfully scolded him and tapped her finger on his nose.

"Sorry." Mowgli weakly mumbled an apology causing her to giggle at how he acted.

Ariel leaned backwards her arms behind her head as she relaxed lounging her back against the tree they were in as she adjusted her lower body creating a long slide from it

''Trust in me, Just in me,

Shut your eyes, and trust...''

Mowgli slid down the coils down into an open hole which lead directly into a pile of waiting coils which wrapped around him securely, wrapping Mowgli up from head to toe in them like a heavy thick blanket that he was now in. A blissful smile on his face as he slept peacefully in them.

Ariel finished her song and looked on with a smile at how neatly tugged in and secure Mowgli was in her coils as she brought her tail up to gently stroke his head as he dreamt pleasantly.

"Sweet dreams little man-cub." She said and leaning forward playfully kissed him on the cheek good night.
