this is a really cute pic for a really cute couple! ^_^ but its kinda odd because I saw the wizard of oz movie before I even knew about Wicked and now that I know that the scarecrow and the wicked witch of the west are meant to be the scene where the witch throws a fireball at the scarecrow confuses me

i love the looks on both their faces. ive never read the book or seen the play however, so i dont know how accurate they are (besides making a generalization from the wizard of oz) i dont really like that you have his leg showing from beneath his pants, because you would like to believe its all straw under there. and whats the flower about? i cant tell if its supposed to be part of the hay or a tatoo... ?

I guess this is just my interpretation of the Wicked stage version scarecrow. That's a sock, not his leg.And the flower is a flower, like the one poking out of his back.

Lovely colours and well drawn, especially the straw man.
Never would have thought of the witch of Oz falling in love with the scarecrow, interesting situation.
