Oh yes...Who can forget my favorite Duel Monster? Or my faved monster pairing, for that matter?
This was a product of pure boredom, drawn during the brief spells when the computer went wonky and left me without entertainment otherwise. I sat on the lineart for the longest time until I found a box of 12 colored pencils. For two hours I labored in love to give birth to this. Except the box didn't have a flesh tone. So I went and bought another box of pencils just for the fleshtone, upping the grand total of colors used to 13.
Yes, only thirteen different colored pencils were used in the making of this. And there was only ONE shade of purple, no orange, and no gray. Envy me.

Oh, wow! I love it! These two are my favorite Duel Monster pairing, I just wish more people realized what a great couple they make. What you've done is very close to the way I picture them, too. (broad grin) If you're interested, I've got a story going on ff.net that has them as a main pairing, the title is Lives to Live. Thanks for the added inspiration!

The amount of detail and thought you put into this is **amazing**. Not only that but i love their expressions. You're skill with color-pencils absolutly blew me away! Whenever i try and do anything like that it looks like a grade 5 did it. Oo; *sighs* alas, i suppose i shall just have to keep an eye on you, fav your art and shower you with a mix of adoring love and jealousy.

Gah! I can never find flesh-tone pencils either... I generally use a blend of pink, yellow and orange.

Well, I used the one fleshtone...and mixed in a hint of pink and tanish brown to give Celtic a touch difference, since they're both pale.

Uh-huh. Whenever I buy fleshtone pencils, someone *coughcoughsistercough* "borrows" them. Either that or the cats eat them. That's my sisters excuse anyway.

Yup...I believe those were my words. Though...with the second box I did get another shade of purple and a gray...but still no orange. But it was all colored except for flesh by that time so....yeah.

that's called layering the hell with that one purple and the blues or reds or whatever came in that box. why else do you think it took me 2 hours to color?

No problem, it was hot! Man layering 1 pencil is hard...it takes me like 3 hours using different shadeds of a color..
