I dread what's going to happen after this but given that this IS GoT, awful things would've happened whether or not the regicide occurred anyway. At least, no name prostitutes have less to worry about now, and the show glosses this over but people will no longer have to worry about having to 'fight to the death' when presenting their grievances at court. Β The point of what happened is not so much that a murder justifies another but that no one in the story truly is safe. Viewers were already getting the impression that only good guys (the ones they identified as good) lost all the time, but not really. You can be safe and happy, surrounded by all your power and wealth but that's no guarantee you'll survive.I realize I didn't make Joffrey's face purple or gruesome enough but it doesn't matter.

I would have preferred him getting shanked in the guts with something rusty at 200 stabs per second while speed metal blared in the background, literally violate by the blade until his belly looked like ground round, but you take what you can get.
