First off... "devil" (deva, devi) merely means your soul.

They only look/are "evil" in works of fiction. In reality they're no more "evil" than a person who has a profession and is good at it.

It definitely is. my housemate interviewed one a while back; they're a sub-class of demon and merely specialize in sex.
He told me the woman he interviewed was slightly shorter than most demons: peach, blue eyes, curly red hair, and even had freckles.
They don't drain souls or any of that nonsense spread around by their enemies.

Well I had one visit me before when I was younger. I can tell you from personal experience they are like changlings and can take on any form. For example the female succubus took on the form of a snow white skinned demon with black horns, red cat like eyes, pointy elf like ears, red hair put in dreads, had a devil type tail, black claws, and black lips including inners with jewelry and peircings. Very similar to my Alxea character. They read your mind and explore your every desire when they come to you. She was about as tall as me and I am 5"7ft tall.
