Yay original art again! These are little speedpaints from my twitter. I did one after every time I was sending a wip from my commissions list, to reward myself haha //I work better that way Y///////Y

I'll be doing some short explaning here. Each speedpaint is marked with a little title, so I'll be using them as guides °Y°

Anima: Shinkami with Regulus in his Anima form (Basilisk snake. This is the harmless version btw haha, because his actual size is huge and looks more scary, but would take 5 canvas to fit him in pfffff).
Arti Tria Scythe: Shinkami’s weapon created from Regulus’ spine (the details on the weapon are supposed to look like snake spine but I failed oops _(:3_)TL ). "Tria" in greek means "three", therefore the weapon can also be called "Three Arts Scythe". The three arts relate to dancing, singing, and writing, but also to red, blue and green (RGB colors). If you mix red, green and blue lights, you get pure white light (PHYSICS YAAAY ). Basically the blades on Shinkami's weapon have some optic effects, that depend on the way Shinkami spins or handles it (did anyone spot the X-ray effect? Kinda failed to draw it properly though haha ;u; )
Incarnation: Shinkami and Regulus are the same soul. Regulus was simply the very first incarnation of the soul, while Shin is the current one. They get along very well, and Regulus often shares his energy with Shin, in order to slow down the boy's skin-decomposition ;3;
13th Ascendant: Playing around trying to decide on Regulus’ fullbody design. Also wrote a bit of info for personal fun haha. The number 13 is related to the Tarot cards. The 13th card is Death.
Credencia: I CAN EXPLAIN--- IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK //takes deep breath// Okok Y////Y Credencia means “state of trusting” in Latin. This is actually a ritual in the story that people HAVE to go through in order to combine the ancient and their current incarnation, which will then allow for the soul to be processed to form a weapon, or be summoned at will as an Anima. The key to the ritual is for both incarnations to accept/trust each other, and this is done by a gesture that shows respect, trust, etc. //Kissing in old times was a display of trust, but also a way to seal contracts
*I kinda wanna note that Vael never goes through that process/ritual since he acquired his Anima illegally, but I'll talk about this more once I do his own Anima's sketch/concept page ovo
Regulus: Trying to draw a frontal reference! I wanted to see if I can make him look the way I pictured him in my mind. He's around 35-39 years old, so this was a challenge to draw //how do you draw older and manlier people wow _(:3_)TL Was also playing around with brushes and having a bit too much fun with them ´u` Also I still haven't decided on the snake-skulls final design hmmm I keep playing around with it oh well! Ah and his hair wraps around his neck like a snake btw //backstory reasons ;7;

Anyway that's is for now! I'm planning on doing more things like that, since I have to finally sit on my bum and create references for my OCs and their Animas haha~
