Kushina is a girl and she is the daughter of NaruHina. When young she was picked on for her pale blue eyes and tomato red hair. So one day she was being picked on by an upper classmate at the academy. The upper classmate took her hair pin and Kushina started to cry, but Makura, son of SasuSaku, stepped in grabbed Kushina's hand and asked politely for the pin back. Ever since after that Kushina had a small crush on Makura because he saved her and the bullying stopped after he stepped in.
