What is art amino? Haha, I felt like it's much harder to get watchers on tumblr than on here! XD Hon you need to submit your lovely work to more groups so others can see it!! <3 (By the way, have I mentioned he's a cutie? Because he is XD )

Art Amino a wannabe Deviant Art. It's for android and apple. It's a tiny art community, but honestly... People there are mean. I didn't enjoy it. I really love DA, its so much more homie. Everyone here is like a family to me. ^^
Is it really that hard on Tumblr?
I try to submit my art to more groups, but most of the groups I'm apart of have limits. I'm trying to find more without limits. Lol
Thank you, you're comments are always very kind. You're the best! ^^

(Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for the super long comment below, I guess I ended up ranting a little about tumblr please don't feel like you need to respond to everything there, maybe I was just venting )
Oh, that's no fun if people are mean there... tumblr had not been my thing at all-- in part because I feel like it's not of my generation, but also the entire way it works is just absolutely non-conducive for artists. What it's good for is people who feel like investing the minimal amount of effort possible in order to easily get the greatest amount of amusement, as to fulfill their short attention spans. The entire way it's set up makes it so that if you post art, people are highly unlikely or are completely unable to comment, and can at best either give you a like or reblog.
The amount of exposure your art gets depends on how popular you are personally or if someone popular decides to reblog your art-- and that person won't even see your art unless they actively search for it by tags. Then, even in the best case scenario where your art gets tons of reblogs, the way tumblr is set up it's highly unlikely anyone will see or care about who the original artist was, tumblr treats art as though it just sprang into existence of its own accord without someone who worked hard to create it. So at best you'll get reblogs (which is uncommon) or likes, but for the amount of effort and time you had invested it's not at all satisfying; then, because tumblr is so counter-conducive to showing people appreciation or support, if you ever try to talk to anyone on tumblr, they will be so horrified they'll never ever respond to you. I think people just download images they like without saying a word because communication is so discouraged, and the result is that you as the artist feel like no one likes your work. Sometimes you are also informed that people don't like your work because they unfollow you immediately after you post something, that's always fun.
I'm not crazy about DA either because their rules are very biased in favor of objectifying and fetishizing women without doing the same for men; in 2008 or so I was banned from DA because there was a link in my signature to a site with pictures of guys kissing-- but as you well know there are loads of gratuitous images of male-oriented fan service. But at least on DA (unlike tumblr) you're able to talk to people and it doesn't horrify them if you comment on their work!

I couldn't have summed up Tumblr better myself, my friend. Those people on the site do seem self centered and seem to have the attention span of a fruit fly. XD
