I know, another WIP. I was honestly going to finish this one before I posted it, but I became too excited and did I anyway. HahaThis was inspired by my cross-over/Fanfic series entitled: Sakura VS Lucina. You may go ahead into my journal and read it. ^^
P.S. Yes, that is a kabuki mask Sakura has on her right shoulder as armor... I hope that is not disrespectful. It was not intended to be.

Hi there! I’m from ’s Comment Tag, and my tag word was “WIP”.
Both of your characters exude seriousness here, I can almost feel the tension just looking at them. I like how clean your lines are for a sketch, especially around their faces. I really like the shape of the nose and lips on the face that is in profile, I think you got them down very well. The slight shading on her bottom lip really help to emphasize their shape and depth.
I think that even though both faces are fairly neutral you show some expression through them. The eyes are the most expressive parts to me. I think you did a fantastic job with the face in profile. The face that is supposed to be in 3/4 view doesn’t quite line up to me. The eyes look as though they are facing head on - the bridge of the nose doesn’t seem to be obstructing the (our) left eye at all and they don’t seem to be wrapping around the skull. The nose is leaning to the left and does not look centered between the eyes. I think the part that gives it away the most is the bottom of the nose - it is quite flat, and if we were to draw a centering line from it down to the lips, it would not line up with the center of the lips but to the left side. Make sure to draw in guidelines to help you place features before you draw them. Looking at photos and models can also help you to learn what features look like in different views. Here are some tutorials that may be of some help:
I think you’ve done a good job with their hair. I like that you divided the bigger chunks up into smaller areas and let them fall gracefully. I think you could push this even further and show some smaller strands and flyaways. I’m sure that this will be touched upon more once you start shading this piece.

Haha! Thank you so much. I had to watch a lot of how to draw videos and do some studying for a while before I got the hang of it. You can do it too, much like everything, it takes a bit of practice. ^^
