Description Oh gosh, I filled this out months ago, after ~deathbybroccoli filled it out. I just never got around to uploading it.

So, let's see, from the top (and these are just listed in random order):

1. Pokemon: If I have to explain this by this point, then I am deeply, deeply ashamed. I started playing Pokemon in the 7th grade (which was 1998 for those of you at home keeping score), and my addiction has never stopped (and probably never will, lol).

2. Mother/Earthbound: Such an amazing little obscure RPG series. The original, Mother, was for the NES, and while it was fully translated to be released in English (as Earthbound), it never got released. The ROM was later distributed online, though, and it's the only way to play it in English. Most people call it "Earthbound Zero," to differentiate it from Mother 2 for the SNES, which was released in English as Earthbound. Then you have Mother 3 for the GBA, released many, many, many years later (it was originally supposed to be released on the N64 Disk Drive project but was cancelled [along with the DD project]). It was never released in English officially, but there is a fan-translation out there. Most people know EB's main character, Ness, thanks to his appearances in the Smash Bros. series. Lucas from Brawl is from Mother 3. And thus ends the history lesson! :'D The thing I love about the Mother series is while the battle system is very typical of RPGs, the setting is not. Set in modern times (M2's setting is "199X"), you use baseball bats and frying pans instead of swords and staves to fight off such memorable baddies as the "New-Age Retro Hippie," "Annoying Old Party Man," "Beautiful UFO," "Big Pile of Puke," "French Kiss of Death," and many more bizarre things as you fight to save the world from an alien named Giygas. The humor and charm of this series knows no bounds. And now I will shut up, because I'm ranting too much about it, lol.

3. Harvest Moon: I've often wondered for which series I'm a bigger dork, Pokemon or Harvest Moon...honestly, I think it's about 50-50, lol.

4. Golden Sun: Such a love for the Golden Sun series I has. Still need to beat Dark Dawn. orz

5. Final Fantasy: While the latest iterations have been hit-and-miss, I enjoy the older games a lot. I like a lot of the spin-offs, too, like Tactics and Dissidia.

6. Mario & Luigi RPGs: THESE GAMES ARE AMAZING AND IF YOU LIKE RPGS YOU SHOULD GO OUT AND BUY ALL THREE OF THESE GAMES. NOW. I WILL WAIT HERE WHILE YOU RUN TO THE STORE. But seriously, the M&L series is great. Chock-full of great humor and an awesome battle system (turn-based with some awesome counterattack and action bits thrown in), these games are a must-play, for real.

7. Kingdom Hearts: What can I say, I'm a Disney fan, I'm a Final Fantasy fan, marry them together, how am I not supposed to like it? I've only played 1, CoM, and II, though. Need to play Improper Fraction Days, Re: Coded, and Birth by Sleep. One day, when I have money to spare that I'm not spending on Pokemon things....

8. Animal Crossing: I don't care if it's the same thing every game, it's addictive, and you know it. I happily scoop up each iteration of Animal Crossing, play it for a month or two, then forget to play it one day and then I never play it again, or at least not for a few months, lol. And then my town is full of weeds and my house has roaches...squishing roaches is fun, but I hate pulling all the weeds. :dohtwo: I'm going to be very sad when the 3DS version comes out and I don't have a 3DS.

9. The Legend of Zelda: The past few games (Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword) haven't really impressed me (Phantom Hourglass was pretty good, though), but I still do love the series. Honestly, SS would impress me more/make me more interested in buying it if it weren't so waggle-heavy. I hate waggle-heavy Wii games. = 3 =

10. Dragon Quest Monster: I got the first game in this series on the Game Boy many, many years ago. I still have my original copy and the strategy guide. I knew it then as Dragon Warrior Monster, and it was Enix's answer to Pokemon, but with all the charm of Dragon Quest. I think I got it because I read about it in Nintendo Power back in the day, tbh, and I'm very glad I did. (I never got the sequels on GBC, sadly.) Many years later, I found out DQM was getting a DS treatment in the form of Dragon Quest Monster Joker, and I eagerly snatched it up. It was all the fun I had with DWM on GB but with shinier graphics and lots of improvements. A seriously underrated title, and I wish Joker 2 would get translated...*sigh* Seriously, if you like Pokemon, you should try DQM; I can't recommend it enough.

OSnap, most of these are some of my favourite games. Though I haven't yet played any games from the Mother, Harvest Moon, or Golden Sun series. (They're games I've wanted to check out for a while, but I'm low on cash at the moment...)

Which Harvest Moon game would you recommend? I hear the GBA one is one of the better ones?

And just wondering, which PokΓ©mon game is your favourite? My favourite is probably Crystal, which I regard as the absolute greatest of all the PokΓ©mon games. But it seems underrated these days

I have only played two of these series you have mentioned: Pokemon and Legend of Zelda. If I rank my favourites it would be:
1: Professor Layton
2: Pokemon
3: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (The only game in the series I have.)
But I will probably buy some more games in the near future (Including Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, as well as the Ruby and Sapphire remakes)Β

Admittedly, I've only beaten the second one, but I've played a good chunk of Mother (got 3 of the 4 characters together), beaten Mother 2 (numerous times, as it's still my favorite), and have played through two Chapters of Mother 3. I even have the fan-made strat guide for Mother 3 and a Ness costume. Mother is the shyt. I have many fond childhood memories of Earthbound on my SNES, and I actually teared up when our house flooded and I lost my original hardcopy.

If you like Mario and RPGs, you should be playing the Mario & Luigi series. Luigi is a class-act in that series. You should definitely look for the GBA one first, though, as most say it is the best.

Inorite? I totally forgot about it, lololololol

ALttP is AMAZING. My vote for second-best game in the series.
