Description      We had just got done with a concert.  Cadet Band stepped off the stage and went straight to their seats.  A moment later the Symphonic Wind Ensemble walked onto the stage and got seated quickly.  They started to warm-up, as expected from any band.  The Symphonic band got quiet, and then the conductor gave the prep beat.  The Imperial March resounded through the room.  I already know about this, I even got to read the trombone part weeks before the actual concert.

The Symphonic band played through the first piece beautifully.  A quick pause and rustle of papers as the new music is set up.  Prep beat, then the most amazing thing I have ever heard filled the room.  I had never heard anything as good as that piece.  What feels like seconds, but really were minutes, I realize there is warmth on the bottom of my chin.  I look to my best friend, Marcus, and I notice his hand on my chin.  No, this is not followed by a kiss.  I whisper over to why he was doing that and he told me that my mouth was wide open and my jaw was on the floor.  I move his hand away, and then realize my jaw had dropped again.  I leave it there.

Another minute passes and one of my close trombone friends, Nick, asks if I'm okay.  It takes him two tries to ask me that, I was too filled with the music.  I shake my head a little, grin, and nod.  He smiles back at me and continues to watch the band.  I glance back at the trumpets in the fourth row of the band.

I watch as the trumpets continue to take out mutes, and put them back in.  They repeated this process many times.  The percussionists seemed to go crazy playing on the keyboards in front of them.  Then, all at once, the music stops.

I wish with all my heart that people had recorded that concert.  It was the most astounding thing ever.  I never heard anything that remarkable since then.

THIS WAS OUR SHOW OHMAIGAWD
I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

This is us, but the show got called 'Ghost Ship' (although Repeat might have been better) and it was arranged a bit, to include a ballad and an intro.
Oh yeah, and we're actually two bands, merged together to create 'a supercharged high school marching mega-band' *rolls eyes*

Oh Undertow.... That really is an amazing song, but it gave me such a head ache when we were practicing it during an honor band I participated in.

As a critique goes, I thought it was pretty well written, up until the point when you introduce a random person, Nick in this case, that just came out from nowhere. Maybe if you had either put an appositive somewhere in that sentence and explained who he was might have left me a little less confused.

Oh ok, thank you!
I was debating on introducing him, but I was rushing a little bit. I wanted to get everything out before the feeling left me. But I will edit that, and again Thanks!
