John Wayne, nickname “Duke” needs no introduction really. He’s a real American icon and I love his movies. This painting is from his last movie “The Shootist”. His character in the script (J.B. Books) had to shoot a man in the back, John refused to do that saying “I’ve made over 250 pictures and have never shot a guy in the back. Change it.” and so they did.Acrylic on canvas, 24×30 inches/ 61×76 cm
