Interesting decision from the Pokemon bunch making Decidueye a grass and ghost type. That would make it the first starter pokemon that is ghost. Owls are mysterious in their own way and have some unique spirit world connections. The fact that it's like an archer is a pretty unique concept as well.
Nice lighting for the vines and subject that's peering over its hood to the viewer.

Though Incineroar is gonna be my starter of choice, I gotta say that this dude is looking awesome and it's surprising that they went with grass/ghost for him!
Anyways. to comment on the painting itself, I really like your choice of colors here, especially the red shading and the shape of the limbs. If this painting doesn't scream that he's part ghost now, I don't know what would haha

1. Rowlet is based on a barn owl and barn owls are sometimes called ghost owls.
2. I heard Decidueye was based on an extinct species of owl that used to live in Hawaii called stilt owls
So, I'd say yes! Being ghost type IS even cooler. It also helps that it's not weak to Stealth Rock or 4x weak to ice now!
