Description Chapter 1
   Louisiana, New Orleans
17 years old Scarlett pulled her blanket over her head and tried to block out the sun. Then she pulled the pillow from under her head and over her ears as she tried to block out the sound of the alarm clock blaring. [Wait, I turned if off.] She realized that it was her phone blaring. She threw the pillow off groaned when the sun touched her eyes. She grabbed her phone from the nightstand answering.
“Hello?” Scarlett answered sleepily. She yawned as the person on the other phone was talking.
“No, sorry she isn’t home,” Scarlett turned over to her note pad and pen looking for a new page to right on. “can I take a message?” the person agreed and gave her the messaged. Scarlett sigh inwardly. “Thank you, I’ll give her the information when she comes back.” She hung up and sighed throwing herself back onto the bed. Her mother was a C.E.O of a music recoding company. She was almost never around because she was on business trips or no extended vacation which meant ‘I’m seeing someone and won’t it last’. So, Scarlett had their massive house to herself. And when she was back her mother would go back to her work. Even when Scarlett threatened her with leaving. Scarlett used her mother’s money to get yoga, cooking, combat, and driving classes. She didn’t need that class anymore since she knew how to drive now and bought a corvette classic. She turned her head staring at the gold wall with the window. She looked out the window wondering what to do today. She had spent most of her days in bed. Scarlett rubbed the back of her neck looking at the pages of messages that where for her mother. This was the tenth notepad she filled. Now in her mother’s room on the seat before the bed was all the notepads filled of things she needed to know.
[I need to do something. I can’t waste my life away.] She dragged her butt out of bed and felt something rub itself on her legs. She looked down smiling at the large black cat purring happily at her. She picked up the cat and rubbed her head on hers. “Morning to you too, Salem.” She greeted the cat before putting it out. Scarlett and the cat walked down stairs. They made their way to the family room and went to make breakfast. Scarlett poured herself a bowl of cereal. She pulled out a small saucer and poured milk into it then setting it on the table as Salem jumped up and started drinking as Kodo sat with Kodo and ate her breakfast.
“Hey Salem, do you have any ideas on what to do today?” Scarlett asked her only friend. The cat looked at her and meowed. Kodo laughed. “I wish I could understand you.” She rubbed Salem’s head happily. She purred. “I know, I’ll go to the bookstore and see if they have any new comic issues to buy.” She chimed. Salem meowed at her in agreement before finishing. Kodo finished around the same time and cleaned up. Scarlett was washing the dishes as Salem sat next to her. Scarlett and Salem could relate to each other since they had one important thing in common. Their mothers didn’t love them or did they probably never love them. both looked out for each other and kept each other company. Scarlett finished washing the dishes and went back up stairs for a shower. Salem followed her. While Scarlett was in the shower Salem got her purse, phone, and IPod. Scarlett came out wearing a maroon shirt that said, “New York Girl”, short shorts with the American flag on them, sun glasses on her head, and black shoes with gold small pyramids on them.
She smiled happily at the cat sitting by the stuff it brought.
    “Thanks Salem.”
Salem purred feeling a rub on the head. Scarlett smiled at her. then grabbed her purse with phone and IPod in them. “I’ll be back soon Salem I promise!” Scarlett said locking the door. The cat climbed up its tree and looked out the window seeing her friend walking instead of driving. The book store wasn’t that far. So, Scarlett could walk there.
Scarlett walked down the streets of New Orleans listening to jazz playing all around her. She put in her headphones and played one of her favorite songs. “Me, Myself and I” by G-Easy x Bebe Rexha. She could relate to that song a lot. But she did have Salem. She listened to her music all the way to the Book Store. She reached it by eleven and started looking through the shelves. She looked through the graphic novels, nonfiction and fiction books, short stories, and finally made her way to comic and manga section of the store. She looked though the manga section carefully. Until she reached the manga that where categorized under “S”. Saint Seiya or also known as the Knights of Zodiac. It was her favorite manga and she could never get enough. She started reading the new series Saint Seiya Lost Canvas. Well, new to her not to the world. It took her forever to finish the Knights of Zodiac or original series. She started reading it not too long ago. She had 1,2, and 3 of the Lost Canvas series and had been wanting for any others. She skimmed the shelf before finding books 4,5, and 6. She took them and practically ran of the checkout counter. She bought the books and left. She placed them in her bag as she left. Walking along the streets of the city of jazz again she turned off her headphones and listened to the sweet sound of the saxophone. She tipped him a dollar before she walked down the road where the parade was going to happen soon.
“Hey, how you are doing my sister?” A man came up patting her on the back. Dwayne Pride. The NICS Special Agent and everyone considered him to be King of New Orleans. He knew everyone and everyone knew him. Pride cared for this city and was always there for the little guy.
“Hey, there Pride.” She greeted back smiling. “Aren’t you supposed to be at your bar?” She asked knowing he owned one.
“Not opening it until Tonight.” He said laughing. Kodo laughed herself. “I’ll walk you home.”
“Is there a criminal on the lose who abducts 17-year-old girls?” She joked.
Pride smiled before giving her a have laugh. “No, but it’s the gentleman thing to do.”
“Thanks Pride.” The two walked talking about New Orleans and NICS. Scarlett joked about how strict the FBI was compared to NICS. Pride said that the FBI didn’t know the meaning of an enjoyable time. Scarlett had to agree. Suddenly however, about two city blocks before her house it began to rain. Scarlett and Pride looked around trying to get out it. They found a green Neon sign that read “Open”. We went in partly soaked but mostly dry.
“Hello?” A voice started them. They saw a woman with long white hair in her late fifties.
Pride smiled at her. “Sorry for the interruption, me and Scarlett needed to get out the rain. Nice to see you again, Roxy.” He greeted the woman with that good old classic New Orleans smile. Roxy smiled.
“That it is Pride.” She looked over at Scarlett. “May I see you hand.”
[Huh? Why does she want to see my hand?] Scarlett wondered but gave her hand to the woman. If Pride was there Scarlett would do things she normally wouldn’t because he would be there to help her out. Roxy looked at her hand tracing the lines of hand carefully. [Her hands are ice. And what is she doing?] Scarlett felt het body vibrate the more Roxy traced her hand. It was a weird feeling. She felt her stomach clench tightly. Holding back a groan she let the woman continue. She felt like passing out. Something was stopping her from breathing. But then it was gone.
    “Close your eyes.” Said Roxy.
Scarlett obeyed. [What’s going on? A vision?]
    Vision
Scarlett was sitting on her couch watching a movie and sitting with Pride and his team sharing a large bowl of popcorn when a voice called her name. She turned her head seeing Sisyphus of Sagittarius the Leader of the Gold Saints in the Saint Seiya Lost Canvas.
    Vision end
Scarlett pulled her hand back after opening her eyes. Stumbling backwards Pride was quick to catch her.
    “You okay?”
“Y-Yeah…” She took a deep breath before looking at him. “I’m fine just startled is all.”
“She has a long road ahead, Pride.” Roxy said. “New friends you, her and your team will make, and you’ll both face many trails and face heart break.” She said.
“Thank you for the warning Roxy, excuse us please, I need to her Scarlett home.”
“Take my umbrella.” Roxy offered handing it to Pride.
“Thanks Roxy see you around.” They walked out the door under the umbrella.
“See you around Pride.” Pride got Scarlett outside and walked her all the way to her house. Scarlett was dizzy and tried not to fall. Good thing Pride was taking her home or else she would have passed out on the streets. Pride took her keys and opened the door for her as Salem woke and walked over meowing as if to greet them.
“Hey, there, Salem.” He pets the cat. “You good?” He turns to Scarlett.
She nods. “Thank you for getting me home safe and sound. I’ll visit you and the team tomorrow okay?”
“You got it.” He said smiling as he showed himself out. Scarlett watched them go as she went up stairs with Salem behind her. She set her purse down and went for a shower. Salem pulled out her books and phone then started cleaning her back foot waiting silently for Scarlett to finish. [What did that woman mean. I, Pride, and the team have a long road ahead? What was her meaning?] She was so frustrated with what Roxy told her and Pride. [And that vision, what did it mean. Sisyphus is a fictional character. He isn’t real, but I wish he was. And Regulus.] She sighed washing her vermilion hair. When she walked out she placed on a tank-top and baggy pants. Grabbing her phone and books; she and Salem walked down stairs and sat down in the family room. Scarlett went to the kitchen coming out with a medium size bowl of chips. Salem was laying on Scarlett’s lap as Scarlett read her new manga. She looked at Salem for a moment and started petting her head. Salem purred sound asleep as she read her book. Scarlett liked the gold saints. Each one fought for what they believed in and never backed down. They were like Pride. They stuck up for the little guy. [I wonder what their like. Like their personality. I know they are warriors of justice but I know they all like to other things.] The rain still poured and Scarlett was finishing book six when she yawned placing it off to the side. [So, tired.] She looked at the clock for a moment it was almost five. She pulled out her phone setting an alarm for six. She laid down Salem waking up only to lay by her chest. She yawned petting her cat and closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.
Scarlett had no idea what time it was when she felt something poking her. She groaned swatting the hand away. “Five more minutes mother.” She asked hiding her face. But her mother didn’t give up. Again, and again her mother pokes her. “I said five more minutes!” She rolled over. But then her eyes snapped open. [Mother isn’t supposed be her for a while. It better be Pride.] She carefully turned around not to hurt Salem.
She looked at the person who was poking her. She looked at the blue eyes short brown hair of someone she thought was only fictional. It was Leo Regulus! She jumped back waking Salem. Salem woke and snarled at him. [What the!? Is he really here. And why is he in my house?!] She wanted to know. A cough caught her ear and she looked past him seeing all the other gold saints including Pope Sage!
    Regulus smiled at her.
“Hi there.” He cheered. Scarlett stared before letting out a loud scream.
The gold saints have appeared in New Orleans! What will Scarlett do; tell Pride or keep it until she knows what is going on?
