There she was, sitting by herself. It was the perfect time for him to thank her for saving his mother's life just one day earlier."Amina... right?"
The small lioness looked at him and smiled.
"Yes, and your's Kamau. It's nice finally meeting you properly."
Kamau didn't really know what to say at the lioness statment, living so long just with his
mother made his social skills be as good as nothing...
"Indeed... I hmmm... Why did you help us?" horrible conversation starter, but better than not trying.
"It may seem like a lie, but I can see energies from animals, so I know they are good and learn a bit about them.
Also because I couldn't let her that way, her wound was very bad..."
He sat next to her, very interested.
"I believe in you. Well, what did you see on my mom's?"
"Her energy has a lot of mixtures, guilt, pain and fear."
Kamau felt his heart ache, his mother went through so much for him, he wished things could have been different.
"But the thing I saw the most was love, Kamau, your mother fights because she loves you, I
do believe she's still here because of this."
He couldn't help but smile at her statment, his mother deserved so much better... He noticed Amina
looking directly at him, usually when someone looked at him for so long it made him very uncomfortable,
he always thought they were being disgusted by him, however, Amina was looking at him with a little smile
on her face, as if she didn't mind being with him and was actually enjoying their little talk, that was a very nice feeling.
"I can see yours too." Oh, that he didn't want to hear.
"hmmm yeah,so.... your pride is being very nice in letting us stay, you know."
"They will welcome you as long as you need, besides your mother really needs to rest."
That was very reassuring, he was happy his mother would have something other than him for sometime.
"I thought she was going to die..." Kamau said almost whispering. "Thank you for saving her, she's
everything to me..."
Amina gave him a sympathetic look.
"She'll be fine, Kamau, don't worry." She paused a little. "You know, it's nice talking to you."
He could feel his cheeck getting a little warmer, he got up as soon as he could.
"Ah well, it's nice talking to you as well, I'll have to leave... hmmm."
"I see you around, then!" Amina look at him with her bright eyes.
"Yeah, of course!" He answered quick, as he left he looked at her again, it was a very nice talk indeed.
Kamau and Hadiya couldn't be by themselves forever, so, one day, Hadiya gets injured in a hunting and Amina takes her back to her pride, where both strangers are welcomed.
My baby boy could not be alone for his entire life!
