Personality: Edge may seem very hostile cause of her looks, but she's very brave and an expert in fighting with her magic, hooves or any weapon she can create to finds such as her Katana Sword. She's very empathetic and discourages those whom have been manipulated by Opaline. When it comes to Tempest Sparkle, Snowdrop Winterfell, Glimmer Glow, Sparky and Misty, she has a soft spot for them being they never chose the path they were lead down. She acts as a big sister figure to them all especially Misty when she learns of her adoptive mothers' true colors and is heartbroken as a result.
She's protective of those she loves and will do anything to keep them safe from harm. She's open to change whether for herself or for others as long as its for the great or good and is rational when situations become dangerous or confusing. Edge acts as mentor to Sunny and the Mane Five when it comes to learning how to deal with her creators dangerous ways and learning their new magic.
Background: Edge Blade was the first Alicorn created by Opaline during her banishment after being defeated for a second time. Opaline created Edge (whom was a mute and communicated in sign language before the Rainbow Lantern gave her a voice via its magic) with high intelligence which allowed her to quickly see Opaline for what she really was: a manipulative, evil, power-hungry Alicorn who'd do anything to get what she wanted. Knowing she did not want to be part of her madness, she left her so called Mother along with taking two baby alicorn and a baby Pegasus born to some of her followers (Snowdrop Winterfell , Glimmer Glow , Tempest Sparkle ) leaving with them and secretly salvaging Sparky's egg from when she killed the Ancient Equestria Dragons leaving it on the beach for Hitch to eventually find.
Furious, Opaline found another way of getting what she wanted when she rescued Misty as a filly and had raised her ever since. Edge Blade put a small stasis spell on the four of them to prevent them from growing up and hatching until they'd came into the possession of something whom was kind and pure of heart.
Years later, Edge Blade eventually took them to Maretime Bay where she placed them on the beach minutes before Hitch and Sarah Tomoe found them. Hitch took Sparky's egg while Sarah took the baby Alicorns into their care to her. Ever since then, she'd kept watch over them from a distance until the day arose where she would join them in taking down her so called Mother once and for all.
