Prompt: Make-up Day! Draw any of the previous prompts from the ATG.

Went with Draw a Pony on a Date because then I get to draw more TwiJack. This is actually a re-draw of one of Twilight's photographs seen in Amending Fences. Seen here.

Interestingly, the picture of Twilight and Applejack is the only one where Twilight isn't also with Spike. Suspicious. There's a group hug at Twi's coronation, Twilight and Fluttershy being concerned with Spike and a pig, Twilight's eyes going out of focus being dressed up by Rarity (seriously if you zoom in her pupils are pointed in different directions?), Twilight at a Pinkie Party, and Twilight wearing an apple-shaped hat and beaming while AJ stares at her instead of the camera. Ahem. *adjusts shipping goggles*

But anyway, I've always been wondering about the context of this photo - all of the others are self-explanatory or easily extrapolated - Spike tried to help out and it didn't quite work, Rarity needs a model etc etc, but this one??

Why is she wearing a hat? She doesn't normally wear one even if helping AJ on the farm. Could be weather/protection/etc, but then! Why is it an old and slightly battered hat? Is this an important hat or just a spare - I mean we know AJ has spares, but they're all identical so where did this one come from? Then there's the edge of what looks like saddlebags/baskets on AJ, but I'm not 100% sure what it is.
The hat's probably the formal Honorary Apple Family Member Initiation Wear or something idk.
