Description Apo/Photoshop. My entry for
Challenge No 42 - 2D Blooms
Made only 3D till this challenge came around. It's a 2D bloom tiled in julian. Actually most of my bloom fields are made with this params. This can be easilly converted to 3D by replacing julian with julian3D and spherical with spherical3D plus typical 3D bloom stuff. Also heavy color postwork here to get that deep blues. So here are params, behold!

Uhm...i didn't understand anything about the params and stuff - but it's pretty, and i like it.  It's very well composed.  Most of the star thingies - no, "blooms," sorry - most of the blooms are aligned according to the rule of thirds, and there's a cute lil one in the sweet spot, that makes for nice balance, without competing with the big bloom.  It's very well balanced in general, with the big bloom on one side and the lil ones on the other.  And there's space for breath, which gives a sense of movement to the radiating lines from the big bloom.  I love the color scheme.  I personally love purple and gold together, and i really like indigo, but I think it's a great color scheme even besides my personal taste.  I'm really struck at how you used diagonals to create all this movement.  My eye wants to fall into the big bloom, but then it's taken to the smaller ones, then back again.  And it's pretty

Should be good The main reason i rendered this in apo is that i cannot find x64 versions of plugins shredrad and shredrad2. Also blur3d can be replaced with gaussian blur, but personally i prefer first because of it's more "soft" feel

in chaotica there is gaussian and pre_/post_gaussian, which are true gaussians (unlike gaussian_blur, pre_blur and co.) and render much faster. it's not available in apo so you have to swap it out in the world editor in the transform type. shredrad requirement is maybe tricky: either 32bit chaotica or native implementation...

anyway, really nice design
